“Get rid of it.” You looked up and down Soonyoung’s body, little stems starting to break through his skin leaving slight pools of blood around them.

“I don’t…” Soonyoung started. He knew you would react this way, he knew what you would ask of him and still he came, because he needed to see you one last time.

“You heard me, get rid of it.” You interrupted, your voice unwavering.

“You don’t understand…” you never would, not when Jihoon loved you as much as he did. You didn’t understand the meaning of unrequited, he wa somehow glad you never would.

“What don’t I understand Soonyoung? You will die, it’s a no brainer.” Your voice started sounding desperate, you were trying to force him into saving himself. “Whoever the hell it is they can’t be worth your life.”

Oh the irnony. “You do understand I won’t feel anything, right?”

“You don’t know that.” You argued. “My dad had it removed, and he still loves me very much.” You knew that was a lie, he liked you at best. His eyes never warmed up, he never held you for more than a few seconds. It was a life half lived, but at least it was a life.

“But not at full capacity, you know this.” Soonyoung locked gazes with you, trying to communicate something you would never get.

“So what?” It came out harsher than you intended, but you were running out of options and you could feel how Soonyoung was slipping through your fingers like sand. “God, Soonyoung, you can’t be this stupid.”

“I’m not being stupid, you’re being stubborn.” Stubborn. The word banged against the walls of your head. It didn’t sound right, not when all you were trying to do was stop the little flowers that were starting to grow out of Soonyoung’s ears.

“Because I care for you.” Care for you. The words took Soonyoung aback for a second. It was never I love you, it would never be I love you and he was happy with that. “I… I can’t fathom a life without you and I don’t want to start now.” You were being selfish, he didn’t blame you though. If it was you in his los sitios he would’ve done the same. “Its not that advanced, if we go now we’ll be able to save you, please Soonyoung…” He could almost picture you getting on your knees. Your eyes were starting to tear up, his would too if the tear ducts weren’t starting to get clogged by ivy. “Please don’t do this to me.” Soonyoung took you in like that, all tears and pleas, the smile he had come to love no where in sight.

“I’m sorry.” He said, you tasted defeat in that exact same moment, Soonyoung tasted dirt.
