Flower - let go again feat. VERBAL
ksxjie:
the fact that rue remembered he was a vegetarian too had jie even more happy with how this was going so far. it was easy after all, to forget that part about jie and a lot of people did, so knowing that rue had kept that in mind was something sweet to him. if anything, it showed him even more then that the other actually did care about him and all of this, even if jie already knew that. “thank you.. a lot of people forget about it.” he hummed softly, the head pat making him giggle a little under his breath, eyes forming small crescents as he smiled over at the elder.
“great or not.. you’re probably still a lot better than me.“ he mumbled out, sheepish again. “my mother used to joke that i’d burn water if i tried hard enough, so no one ever let me cook after a while unless it was baking with one of my older brothers.“ the memories of that had him laughing a little to himself. it was kind of stupid, but at the same time, jie really honestly wasn’t the best cook. he kind of dreaded if he ever had to cook on broadcast actually.
He would have had a hard time forgetting that Jie was a vegetarian, given the fact that he had repeated it to himself in his own mind numerous times, just so that he wouldn’t forget in about it the end. Perhaps there would be little things about himself as well, that Jie would remember, even if other people forgot.
“Do you like to bake? Or is it something you shouldn’t do without someone there, too?” He was teasing slightly, offering a little smile to the younger. Jie always seemed to happy and at ease when he spoke about his own family. “What are they like? Your family, I mean. You grew up in China, right? Do you have a lot of siblings?” They’d spoken about their families briefly before, he could remember it especially because of the awkwardness that ensued when he spoke about his own. Maybe, this time, if the topic was turned around and was for him to talk about, he could mention better things. Jie still didn’t know some of the more private parts of his life anyways, like the fact that he had a young daughter.
catch me;;
ksxjie:
he couldn’t help flinching when rue got close to him at first, mind flashing back on all the other times he’d been caught like this or even just faced the bullying in general that came with being.. himself– and so he flinched, thinking about the memories, and the fear that had wormed it’s way into his mind all these years. jie was practically shaking like a leaf by the time rue pulled him into a hug, something that his mind hadn’t expected, but soon had him letting himself sink into it, arms wrapping around the other almost like he needed the contact too much, face burying into the elders chest for a few moments until he heard the second set of words, because he was still unsure of how to verbalise his answer to the first. “r-really?” jie still didn’t look up, just attached himself to rue almost as his voice came out shaky and wobbly, probably because he was still on the edge of his panic, trying not to tip over the edge as he attempted to control his breathing, which was getting harder the more he thought on this. it was never exactly easy being found out anyway, even by those he trusted and cared about, and he knew wouldn’t judge him wrongly.
He could feel the shaking when he hugged Jie, which was enough for him to become concerned about the other and the situation that they were both in currently. Yet, he didn’t know what to ask directly. He still wasn’t sure about what he’d walked in on. “Really,” he assured Jie quietly, his arms tightening around the other slightly before loosening again so that he wasn’t squeezing too hard. “You know I care about you. I just want to know what’s wrong.” It was obvious that the situation was stressful or hard for the other, and Rue was almost afraid that Jie might collapse even when he was holding onto him. So, he sunk down onto the floor, pulling Jie down with him so that they could both take a seat. Jie passing out or falling to the floor wouldn’t help their situation, and if Jie was already this panicked over Rue walking in on him, he didn’t want to bring anyone in to help if Jie passed out either.
Hi this is for the plot drop which I’m kind of excited about because I feel like I can do a lot with it with Rue so please read this!!
So Rue was a hipster but during the time of the cafe being wrecked, like I mentioned before, he was away in Japan for a couple of weeks and came back after everything. In the past, Rue was arrested and spent time in jail twice for two different crimes (one being violent and the other being breaking and entering and burglary). So I am going to have Rue get taken in for being in the area and such bc Rue goes wherever Rue wants . He will probably be stressed with the police around so much and easily agitated, so more than likely, he will be even snappier than usual when he’s released again. He would also be on a hunt for whoever got the police involved because he wants to tell them they’re an idiot to their face, so he’ll be suspicious of people too.

ksxjie:
jie felt embarrassed reminding the elder that he had to tell him about his feelings later, but he’d meant it more as a teasing, easing the atmosphere way honestly, and the reply that he got made the younger smile happily. “i.. i didn’t expect you to ask.” he admitted shyly then, because he hadn’t. jie was so used to falling for people and not having anyone else give back to him in the same way honestly, so to have that now? it made the fame chaser happy. it made him happy just to have rue there honestly, allowing himself to want to be close to him like this.
he was quick to take up the seat next to the elder then on the blanket as he watched him open up the container of food. hearing that rue had made his favourite dish though? it made his eyes widen a little, warmth spreading over him because that wasn’t something he’d expected. “i didn’t think you’d remembered that,” he mumbled shyly, but there was a fond smile appearing on his lips. “thank you..” he didn’t care if rue couldn’t made it like his mother, only cared that he’d even tried really. “i’ve never had that before, so i’m excited to try it.”
the shy look jie recieved after rue was done showing him and telling him what he’d made had jie’s own shyness appearing again, as well as the small blush coming back because he was.. a little speechless maybe, that rue had done all of this– made all of this. ”you should teach me how to cook one day..” he mumbled out then after a moment, laughing softly under his breath, “i’m really bad at it.. so you’re probably really good in comparison to me.” he bit his lip then a little, admitting shyly again, “and i like it when you teach me things.”
Rue was pleased with Jie’s reactions, because the younger always seemed to give honest expressions to things. He couldn’t help but feel a little proud, for a moment a smug smile on his features. “I guess I’m full of surprises,” he mumbled, mostly to himself though. When he relaxed again, he pulled out the other things he’d brought with him, plates and utensils to eat with.
He served the soup first for the both of them, which was still fresh as he’d somewhat rushed to make everything just before their date so that it wouldn’t have to sit for too long. “I remembered that you were a vegetarian as well, so I made the food with that in mind, too.” He reached out then, patting Jie lightly on the head for a moment.
Jie’s request about teaching him to cook too flustered him some, though he looked down and kept his head down as he responded. “I’ll teach you if you’d like. It’s not like I’m great at it. I’ve just been cooking for myself for a while now.” Rue was smiling though, despite not making eye contact with Jie at the moment. “I don’t know if there’s much that I can teach you in general, but whatever I can help you with, I will.”
ksxtristan:
as much as tristan didn’t want to be back, the recent events that had occurred on campus, specifically with the hipster territory as well as spreading to the fame chasers and artists, it had him coming back a few days ago to help with the meeting between the clique. trying to figure out what had happened wasn’t going well though, and well.. even tristan couldn’t lie that blame did lead back to their cliques known rivalries, and that alone had him sighing. but either way, there wasn’t much he could do as he stood outside the wreck that now was the cafe, a poor way of it being patched up having taken place in forms of windows being boarded up and hiding the interior that was even worse. it.. angered him honestly, because the cafe was something that he’d both helped out in and hung around in since day one there, so seeing it trashed and vandalised? it didn’t sit well with him. either way, he turned away then at the wrong moment, managing to collide with another form, wincing as his broken arm took most of the impact as well as his shoulder. well, that wasn’t what he’d needed–
Rue had never been too familiar with the other hipsters, but he knew their faces and names at least. He had usually kept his nose out of the clique business as much as possible, but since coming back from Japan, it seemed like it was being shoved into his face more and more. He had thought that he’d go and check out how the cafe looked currently, but even before he made it there, he found himself bumping into someone while he was looking down and walking without paying attention to his surroundings. When he lifted his head to see who it had been, he was a bit surprised, but he also became immediately aware of the injury the other seemed to have. “Sorry,” he began, taking a step away from the other slowly. “Tristan, right? Is your arm going to be okay?” He asked, tilting his head slightly as he did so. He was trying to be polite, because he had bumped into the other, but also because he felt bad about what had happened to the cafe.

Rue was slightly surprised when Mirai approached him. Not so much that she had, but that she had shown up at the reunion. Did she have any fond memories to relive there with everyone else, too? Whatever her real reasoning was, Rue was honestly pleased to see her. "This is Aiko yes," he responded, turning to look at his daughter briefly. She seemed to be sizing Mirai up, or perhaps she recognized her as Mirai had mentioned as well. Either way, she gave the other a brief and quiet greeting too. Rue seemed satisfied with that also, turning his attention back to Mirai afterward and continuing their conversation.
Though, he snorted in feigned amusement at her comments too. Mostly the ones about their school life there at Keisung before then. "I don't remember ever driving you crazy, though. Are you sure it wasn't the other way around?" Though he smiled still. As much as people had seemed to dislike Mirai's personality, it had always been somewhat endearing to him. "I missed you too though, but also only just a little. Life has been good to me overall. I have a job and a relationship, my daughter is doing well in school, and I'm able to visit home frequently. So I can say I'm rather content. How about for you?" Though from her prior statements, he figured that she was doing rather well, or at least well off money wise. She seemed happier than he remembered her back then, in school, too.
ksxkakeru:
Rue was surprised when he felt a hand take hold of his own, but his face lit up when he realized who it was. He smiled at Jie with a soft expression, his hold on his hand tightening momentarily. “Hey. You’re not late really. Aiko and I just arrived as well.” He motioned toward his daughter then, who waved a little at Jie. “She says she’s going to hang around with you instead of me but I kind of wanted to steal you from everyone, just for a little while, later on.” When he glanced at his daughter, he could see the pout on her face, but he knew that she probably understood. He had already discussed it with her prior to their arrival anyways. He didn’t think that Jie would be opposed to his plans either, once he shared them with them too.
hearing that they weren’t late had jie sighing softly in relief, because they were still worried. “i’m glad, it means i was right on time then,” and that they hadn’t missed anything too important then. the younger was laughing a little though at the mention of aiko wanting to hang around with them more than rue then though, “considering i’ll probably be around you half the time, or more than that, i think she’s got to hang around you too–” their eyes widened in curiosity then though, “okay, well i mean, you know that i’m not against you stealing me away.” they mumbled sheepishly, apparently still easily flustered by the small things, but now jie was just curious to what rue had planned.
Rue smiled at Jie's response, glancing over at Aiko who seemed to be distracted by a food table nearby already, leaving the two adults to talk more in peace. "Then," he began again quietly, as if he didn't want anyone else to pick up on their conversation. "Do you want to go check out the spot where we had our first date then? Since we're finally back on campus. It's been a while since I've seen that spot, too." He gave Jie's hand a gentle squeeze, offering him another smile. There were probably plenty of places they both wanted to visit again on campus for the sake of nostalgia and their memories.

His daughter had nudged him in the side before he'd even noticed someone approaching them. He didn't know if she actually knew who it was, but it was obvious where he was heading. When Rue lifted his head to look, his face brightened and he smiled at the greeting. "Hyungseok," he responded in a simple way, though he was honestly excited to see the other there too. It had been a while since they'd seen each other in person, given that they'd gone separate ways and lived in different places. But he had missed having a friend like Hyungseok nearby. "This is Aiko," he motioned toward the girl but she seemed to shy away some. He assumed that was only natural considering she hadn't seen most of these people in so long as well. "How have you been?"
His daughter was the first to notice the pair coming to approach them, though it was also because she was soon hugged by Ryosuke’s own daughter. The teenager knelt down to be at a more equal level to the other girl, returning the hug and greeting her and Ryosuke as well. “I’ve been doing well,” he responded to the younger’s question, offering the other a subtle smile. “How have you been? Still in Osaka with Joon?” He was sure that’s what he had heard last. It seemed like they had settled there.
