MANLY HERO !

i haven’t spoken about this enough, but kirishima has never been a pushover. there have been a lot of moments where he puts up with more than he should, but he knows where to toe the line. some of out first ever scenes of him is him actually calling bakugo out, & during the sports festival, you can hear his slight annoyance with bakugos behaviour, etc. 

however, what makes him special against that is the idea that kirishima as a whole will never really hold that against someone. he’d much rather forgive and forget than resent & remember, because he likes to understand a person, & all sides of the story when it comes together. while he’s very easily seen to make friends, he’s also very good when it comes to them. he gets things that aren’t exactly said, because he’s experienced both sides of the story himself. a friend, a quiet kid, someone confident in their quirk, someone not so.
