@ksehyun !
every now and again, cheong minji falls victim to the blues. she tries not to wallow in it, keep friends in the loop, but every now and then, it sneaks up on her like some kind of fucked up and decrepit relative at a family reunion that wants to pinch her cheeks and ask how school is going. it’s exhausting. she tries to cope. for now, she’s out for a bit of light grocery shopping, an attempt to get out of the house for a while until she can work up the energy (and swallow down enough of her pride) to call someone up to keep her company. it’s mostly an excuse to buy snacks. still, it’s only appropriate that her bad day gets weird.
it starts with an inkling that the face of the guy a few feet down the aisle she’s in looks familiar. she tries to be subtle in her investigation, glancing over as infrequently as she can manage, but. well. subtlety has never quite been her forte. she’s not sure why her first instinct is to hide but she lets out an awkward yelp when her suspicions are confirmed, eyes going wide as she ducks behind a display for samyang ramen. kang sehyun. what the fuck.
GROCERY SHOPPING had never been a task that sehyun favored. he found it to be daunting and tedious --- especially when he could spend his time doing something he perceived to be more productive ( finishing more work, for one ). but, a soul living on his own could only wait so long before left-overs from a certain neighbor became scarce. that’s why the student, paying attention to his hunger for once, had wound up in the grocery store.
necessities were the priority as he wandered through the shop, anything quick to eat or otherwise a try at something healthy and nutritious ( honestly, sehyun needed a personal shopper --- or trainer, for that matter ). however, as he was reaching for a particular can of goods that had been missing from his pantry for weeks, a sudden NOISE brought him out of his thoughts. confusion spread as his head jerked, directed toward the source of the sound, and found nothing but a display of ramen. surely he’d been going a bit insane. it was definitely the hunger.
