genetically modified super human / mutant. he and his brothers were experimented on with chemical x as infants unlocking their latent mutant abilities. they were just three out of many children that were experimented on but only they were the success story. 

the rowdy ruff boys aren’t related. all coming from different mothers with mutant genes who were also scientists that worked on the project to create them; however they were always treated as experiments rather than children. only ever given basic care with the only enrichment being used to enhance their mutant abilities. 

the one that oversaw the experimentation, also known as their father, was someone that they only knew as “HIM”. he to the boys was the embodiment of all evil. only ever dishing out punishments for the smallest mistakes. he created fear in the boys. to this day they still have mental and physical scars from the punishments that were given to them.

the last name jojo comes from the leading scientist in the experiment. the one that saw that the boys' needs were met and the one that would inject them with chemical x on a regular basis until their powers manifested.

butch is the most chaotic of the other brothers. being the youngest he felt like he had a lot to make up for. causing him to become more destructive and cruel when he was a lot younger. 

butch didn’t escape without threats to his life being made. any day now he knows that HIM will come back into his life and when that day comes he’s ready to face his fate.
