my queer persona 5 headcannons
because i just finished persona 5 royal and there's no way all these characters are cishet
also known as: crazy trans man rambles about how every character can be headcannoned as transgender if you look hard enough
they're under the read more because oh boy this is a doozy
it came to my realization that 99% of my fandom related headaches would be cured if everyone understood this
be like naoto! not akechi
When the required facial scans come I will simply leave the internet . Amen

Actually... it's been a hot second since I last made a post like this.
Vocal synth users, reblog and put in the tags 1. if you make covers or original songs (or both), 2. what program you use to mix and 3. what vsynth software/voicebanks you find easiest to mix!
One rule for this: people who use free programs/programs that aren't considered modern or easy to use have to be lauded as warriors (and not discouraged from using their programs of choice)!
oh boy
practicing my adachi tuning! yippee.
got a genderbend adachi goin on and i like it.
weather update: video compression sucks and i hate it. only realized this after i hit the post button lol
realizing dithering only works well on native resolution. fml
actually if i turn down the resolution i can twist this to my advantage
i'll be back
am i tripping or does the effect from cranking down the sample count of cycles actually look really good? because i think this is a good foundation for smth cool
The "trans men never ever have male privilege" thing is pretty goofy for various reasons but especially when you consider the old timey butch move of presenting as male specifically for the privileges. Like what's all that about then
Like first and foremost the thing is you need to compare marginalized men to women of the same demographic (i.e. trans women) and that'll make it click, right. But also just regularstyle there are benefits to Being A Man socially. Like. Isn't that kind of the idea lowkey. I wear pants so I don't get catcalled on my mental health walk. I mean I get that sometimes people just have genders but there's a not insignificant number of people for whom that's kind of the point innit
"Woman* pretends** to be a man as a trick to earn respect, etc" is like. A whole archetype in mythology & fiction
My cisgender doctor in real life signs her name as "(first initial) (surname)" so you can't immediately tell she's a woman on paperwork
I dont necessarily disagree with anything you've said, but at the same time there are manifestations of transphobia that trans men, especially autistic and mentally ill trans men, face that trans women dont.
For example, I have been pressured to go to conversion therapy out of fear that I am a "lost lesbian" (even tho im. Not attracted to women.) and that im only trans because i have been easily manipulated due to social contagion because of my autism. Every time ive been assessed by a professional my autism has come up with this "concern" that I am simply an easily influenced autistic girl. I have not heard of analogous experiences transfem people have, though I admit that there could be ones that I dont know about
Another example, at least where I live, is the legality of hrt being different. Estrogen exists in a grey zone and having it without a prescription isn't necessarily illegal, whereas having testosterone without a prescription is illegal. This makes it a lot harder for transmascs to obtain hormones, as for many diy is the only option and that path is significantly more legally risky for transmascs than transfems.
A lot of the benefits transmascs obtain are conditional on passing as cis, and the aforementioned issues make it hard for us to medically transition and few if any of us pass as cis before medical transition. This could be different from more historical accounts due to how society is generally more accepting of a woman presenting in a way that 100 years ago would be seen as masculine than vice versa (for example, it is a lot more socially acceptable for a woman to wear trousers than for a man to wear a skirt) and as such people are more likely to assume i am a woman dressing masc than they are to assume a trans woman is a man dressing fem. Obviously this causes danger to trans women as they are more likely to be clocked as trans, whereas i am just assumed to be a masc cis woman. Its a problem of hypervisibility vs invisibility and i am not saying whether i have a position on which is "harder" i am just stating that they are different.
I socially transitioned 10 years ago and legally changed my name 3 years ago and I am still rarely if ever gendered correctly in public as I am still trying to access hormones and surgery and so I am perceived as a woman by most people.
Again, im not saying you're wrong. Im just saying theres nuance here that you're missing. There are experiences of transphobia that are only felt by transmascs. There are experiences of transphobia that are only felt by transfems. There are experiences of transphobia that are only felt by people who do not fall into either of those categories. Are some forms more physically dangerous than others? Yes. Im not denying that. But not every trans man has male privilege, even if we transitioned long ago, and there are forms of transphobia that trans men face that trans women dont.
You think trans women don't get sent to conversion therapy?
look, with all due respect, how does any of this claim trans women *don't* get sent to conversion therapy? i'm not trying to be rude or transmyogynistic here, clearly trans women do get sent to conversion therapy, i'm just confused on how exactly you came to the conclusion that prev was claiming that they weren't?

This site will claim to hate "conservatives" and then be gleefully stubborn and revel in anti-intellectualism when new scientific definitions change things they learnt as kids in ways they don't like
that's like saying that someone calling a tomato a vegetable is anti-intellectual. people know it's botanically a fruit, it's just a colloquial thing at this point to call it a vegetable
i don't see why people are getting so heated about this? as long as there is an understanding that it's not the formal scientific definition it should be fine. i don't see people losing their faith in humanity because most people call a raspberry a berry instead of a aggregate fruit
