I’ve so far gotten 4 videos up on my channel, with my first being about the Villar Perosa machine gun in Battlefield 1, followed by David Brewster in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and then another Battlefield 1 video on the Battle of Cambrai of 1917.  I just recently put up my 4th, taking a look at the Pazzi Conspiracy in Assassin’s Creed II.  

Before making this channel, I started to do a little bit of research into various topics that appeared in both the Assassin’s Creed games, and Battlefield 1.  While I have quite a bit to work with in just those two games alone, I would like to expand into other games eventually and look at the historical events that inspired them.  One such game is The Order 1886, which while it is set in a steampunk Victorian England, and has you fight vampires and werewolves, is still based on historical elements which I eventually want to take a look at.  

For now though, with just the two games series I do have plenty of content to work with.  At the moment I am researching both the Arditi special forces units in Battlefield 1, and the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople in 1453.  One of these I hope to get into video very soon.  Though I have found the Assassin’s Creed videos to be a little bit harder to edit and get gameplay of, as I never know what makes interesting gameplay in these games.  Battleifled 1 is easy enough.  

That’s all for the update today, hopefully I may have more tomorrow, or something small at least.

So I’ve been busy which is why I’ve neglected this side blog of mine. It became too much to research and write long essays on various people in the Assassins Creed universe. Not to mention life took me in other directions. But I have returned somewhat. I’ve created a new YouTube channel called The Video Game Historian where I’ve been making videos and talking about the real history behind events in games like Assassins Creed. I recommend to you all to check it out.

Along with that I also created a new Blog where I will be posting all my videos as I release them along with updates about my progress and the project I’m working on currently. So I also recommend following that blog as well as I will be discontinuing my main and side blogs here for quite some time. I will no longer be the Historical Assassin but now the Video Game Historian.
