Upon hearing a knock on your door on a Sunday evening, he was the last person you'd expect to show up, “Uhm hi?”

“Hey Y/N,” Hanbin awkwardly laughed.

You scrunched your brows, “Yes Hanbin?”

He bit his lip, “Funny story… I know we don't really talk but I have a date tonight and my shower broke so can I use yours, please?” Shit.

“Oh. Sure! Of course,” you smiled, “How have you been showering before then?”

“My friends down the hall but they're all out,” he sighed. You let out a knowing hum before letting him in your apartment, taking note of his clothes in his hands. You grabbed a towel and handed it to him before pointing towards your bathroom.

“Ah thanks, you're a lifesaver,” he thanked before running to the bathroom and closing the door. Well, fuck. So now he's taken? You rushed to your room and frantically texted your friend. YO THE CUTE NEIGHBOR I'VE LIKED FOR WHAT?? 6 MONTHS? HE JUST CAME OVER AND IS USING MY SHOWER BC HIS BROKE AND ITS FOR A FUCKING DATE WHAT DO I DO. The sound of running water mixed with his loud singing made you melt but then you remembered. He's getting ready for a date. You groaned and checked your phone, waiting for a text back. MAKE HIM FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU was the only response you had gotten. You rolled your eyes gee thanks for the help. You straightened your back before getting up and walking to the kitchen. You were in the middle of a meal before he interrupted. You looked at it, laughing quietly. He was probably going to some fancy restaurant with the suit of his and you were eating a tv dinner, watching Law and Order: SVU. You sighed and continued to eat the remains, scrolling through your phone while half paying attention to the T.V. You were so immersed in trying to look natural, you didn't hear the water stop and Hanbin step out.

He coughed, “How do I look?” You jumped a little before turning.

“Woah,” you raised your brows, “Not too shabby.”

“That's all I get?” he pouted. You laughed. He was stunning in that suit, looking hotter than usual which you didn't know was possible, but he didn't have to know you thought that.

“You look amazing,” you finally settled with, “But your hair is still wet and dripping water all over it.”

“You didn't have a hair dryer,” he complained.

“Yes I do! I just don't use it so I store it away most of the time,” you tsked before leading him back to the bathroom and pulling it out for him.

“I didn't want to look through your drawers,” he blushed making you blush.

“How kind,” you joked, “Your date is so lucky to have such a gentleman of a date. And who knew you can sing too.” He blushed even more and you waved before going to your living room. Great, he's all shy because you made too many comments teasing him. What was up with that wave, too? You smacked yourself with the sound of the hair dryer in the background

“Hey Hanbin!” you yelled, seeing him walk down the hall. He turned and waved enthusiastically before waiting for you to catch up, “How was the date?”

He scratched his head with a laugh, “She was a great person but my mind was on something else and so you know how it goes from there.”

“Aww, sorry it didn't work out,” you apologized, feeling bad yet happy at the same time.

“Nah, it's okay. My eyes were on someone else before and I think she knew,” he quietly explained. Yep, there goes your heart plummeting for the second time because of Hanbin.

You nudged him, “Why did you even go on the date, anyways then?”

“Because I met the girl after I asked her out on the date but too late to cancel, you feel?” he struggled to explain. You shook your head. He rubbed his temples, “How do I put it like this? It was you.”

“What?” you asked, jaw dropped.

“Yeah… I mean I know we only said hi before when we saw each other but there was just something when you let me use your shower. Like not the gesture itself maybe? More like how you were so comfortable with me and just, I don't know. It just felt like it was… normal?” he started rambling making you blush.

“Kim Hanbin,” you hit his chest lightly, “I've liked you for like 6 months.”

“Why didn't you tell me?” he whined.

“I didn't want to get rejected? I don't know!” you exclaimed.

“Well now you know… and I know… and… so.... We should like… Go on a date?” he giggled, shyly.

“Having trouble there? Of course,” you smiled, brightly.

“Great! I'll pick you up at 6?” he beamed.

“Are you going to use my shower?” you joked.

“Be there at 5:30, leave by 6?” he joked along.

“Hey!” you scolded light heartedly.

He smiled sheepishly, “No but really, can I?”

To you, Jungkook was like ice cream; something everyone loved and something you'd never reject. You could never say no to his puppy eyes, always caving in to his requests.

“Y/N, take a break! You've been working for so long,” Jungkook whined.

“You have a different motive,” you rolled your eyes, typing away at the essay due by midnight.

“No…,” he looked at you, “Maybe… Please just cuddle me!”

You sighed, “After. This is due in 3 hours, Kookie. After I'm done I'll be all yours.” He pouted. Could a boyfriend not cuddle his girl?

“Please, jagi,” he was begging now. He hugged you from behind and rested his head on your shoulder, the chair separating your bodies from head down.

You stopped for a moment, “Would you rather have my full attention on you cuddles or my mind on something else cuddles?”

He stared at you, “Cuddle with me while typing your essay!” In one movement, he took your laptop and carried it to your bed, “Your turn!” Before you could protest, he lifted you over his shoulders and set you on the bed, “Perfect!” You rolled your eyes but smiled at your childish boyfriend. You didn't say anything; instead you sat up against the bed, legs under the blankets and laptop on top. He grinned cheekily, feeling a sense of achievement. He climbed in after your and soon his legs were entangled with yours and his arms wrapped around you as best he could. You continued to type away, occasionally running your hand through his hair. He hummed in comfort satisfied he got what he wanted, somewhat. Of course he would. He was always your first priority .

But too much of anything was never good. That went for ice cream and for Jungkook. You loved him so much but you couldn't handle his attitude at times. 

Yes Jungkook was an idol. Yes he was in one of the most popular bands. Yes you understood with that came fans who were all in love with him and wanted him to be theirs. Some so crazy in ‘love’, they crossed borders such as stalking. You understood this all including how he had to give fan service which often felt like he was flirting with them. You knew better though and you were okay with it. Yet, there were times your jealousy would rise or times where his jealousy would rise or just stupid reasons to argue about.

“I'm tired of this,” you sighed, “I'm tired of you putting me after your fans. You're here physically but not emotionally and I'm just… I'm done.”

“Where is this coming from? First you say I'm not here enough now you're saying... I don't even know what you're saying!” Jungkook yelled, causing you to flinch.

“In the middle of our dates, you stop and talk to your fans and act like I'm not there. You come home and act like you don't know what you did. When I'm just talking to you, you don't pay attention because you're looking at your fans’ tweets. You're basically flirting with them at fan signings and yeah, I get it's ‘fan service’ but I don't see the rest of the boys kissing them,” you rubbed your face as a headache started to come.

“You know my fans are a big part of my life,” Jungkook scoffed, not seeing your point of view, “Stop over reacting.”

“Yeah and I thought I was a big part of your life too but I guess we both know which one's more important, huh?” you glared, refusing to cry in front of him. You turned on your heels and went to your room, making sure to slam the door. You hastily put your charger and some clothes into a drawstring bag and grabbed your phone on the way out.

“Hey, where are you going!” he shouted, running after you. Instead of going to the elevator, you ran down the hallway of your apartment to another end of rooms which he would never guess you'd go. He ran to the elevator and when he saw it closed, shut his eyes. You just needed to cool off, right? He'd give you space tonight and if you didn't come back by tomorrow, he'd text you. You poked your head and saw him looking stressed and stomping back to your apartment room. You quickly made your way to the elevator. That night you spent it at a friend's house.

Did you mention the best similarity Jungkook shared with ice cream? They were both sweet as could be.

You swore Jungkook treated you like a queen. He bought you little gifts and when you asked why he would only softly say, “It reminded me of you. I knew you'd like it so I got it for you.” He made small gestures that always made your heart flutter and on the side, he'd throw in something big like going all out for your birthday. But, your favorite thing was his kisses and how he'd say I love you. There were the small, quick pecks before either of you left for work, a hurried “I love you” yet he'd always say it. Or the ones before he went on stage: quick at first but then he'd leave his lips lingering and you'd take it as a signal to make the kiss a little longer, sweeter, “Good luck Kookie.”

“Jungkook!” Namjoon would yell, trying to hurry him before they came on too late.

“I'll do good because you're here and I love you,” he gave you one last peck before waving and going on stage. There were also the ones where he came home from tour: hungry and yearning for more. “I missed you so much,” he said, always apologizing for leaving you alone for so long, “I love you.” After you helped him carry in his luggage, he'd put his hands on your hip, pushing you against the wall, “Leaving always makes me love you more.” He would pull at your lips, biting them in his want for more. Your hand would be running through his hair, his hand trapping you against the wall. Your lips would taste like mint from your chapstick that you loved so much and that's the taste he will always remember. Your most favorite kisses out of them all, however, were the casual ones. Something out of the blue yet you both were comfortable with it. The ones on your cheek when you're cooking and when you turn around, oh look it's his lips. The ones where you're reading and he just has to interrupt to kiss you. Even when you're walking hand and in hand, yet that's enough for him and he gives you a kiss that's not too much PDA for the public yet not qualified as a peck. Jungkook tasted of sweetness, something between chocolate and strawberries. It was such a random combination but something you adored. His kisses felt like home to you.
