Relationship with Raven:

Ji-Yong and Raven known each other since they were children. Their friendly rivalry gradually became mutual respect, and over time Ji-yong developed romantic feelings for Raven.

Although he genuinely cares about her, his protective nature sometimes turns into jealousy. When Raven tells him about the Croods—and especially about Thunk—Ji-yong dismisses Thunk as “just another caveman” because of his tribe’s long-held distrust of cave people. His fear of losing Raven, combined with those beliefs, fuels many of their arguments.

Relationship with Thunk:

Ji-yong and Thunk would most likely have a complicated rivalry that evolves over time. Since Ji-yong was raised to distrust cave people and Thunk was once Raven’s boyfriend, they have two reasons to clash.

Once Raven ends her relationship with Thunk and chooses Ji-yong, the tension grows.

Thunk doesn’t hate Ji-yong just simply because Raven moved on. He’s hurt because Raven wasn’t honest with him before starting a new relationship. Since Ji-yong is now with Raven, Thunk finds it difficult to separate his feelings about the breakup from his feelings about Ji-yong.
