Hands: Would you rather make something from scratch or get it made for you?

Ayano would definitely make something from scratch if she can when it comes to presents, because she feels that it's more personal to give someone a hand-made present. Not to say that she wouldn't buy things at all, but if it's something like a pastry or knitted clothing, it's a lot more worth it to put in the time to make it special.

But in terms of things in general, it would just depend on what that thing is. She loves to try her hand at baking and cooking, for example.

Eyes: What has changed from how you see the world now and how you saw it 5 years ago?

Well, I figure that Ayano still has somewhat of a childish mindset and her outward demeanor hasn’t changed much— it’s what she hides under that smile that has changed over the years. She used to be a lot more happy overall as a child, but as she started getting older and developing her faulty tendencies and just getting unavoidable doses of reality, it’s hard to be as cheerful about the world as you once were as a kid.

And even after she’s joined Hope’s Peak, she’s gotten even more of a dunk into the pool of reality, with all of the deaths and constant fear of loved ones possibly getting killed. Sure, she can have a positive outlook all she wants, but it’s not going to change the fact that deaths happen here as if they’re just a normal occurrence, and she knows that she’s powerless when it comes down to it all too well.

Ayano, with as bright a smile as ever, sets down a plate of... what seems to be dinner in front of Kido. In fact, Ayano seems incredibly proud of herself, expression nothing short of satisfaction. She's even got her chest puffed out and fists on her hips in a display of pride, despite the grime coating her apron. "I hope you enjoy it!"

Unfortunately for Kido, Ayano's got her eyes on her expression, ready to see her reaction to her latest masterpiece with an eager look in her eyes. If Kido plans to keep Ayano's pride intact, she'd better be ready to keep a poker face.
