I was thinking about my theories for Gethen and something just *clicked* in my head that honestly shouldn't feel like as big of a revelation to me as it does

But that dream Sophie had in Legacy where her biological parents were both in ETERNALIA saying "We're so proud of you" and she said they were "apart and together/close to her but not close" or something like that

It really shows Oralie in that dream. She's proud of Sophie. They were close enough to be comfortable around each other but not that close. And she's a councillor (hence, Eternalia).

But?? What about her biological dad??

I have that theory that Gethen was a councillor, which would act as the Eternalia part. Gethen and Sophie are "close but not that close" in a COMPLETELY different way though. They know who each other are, see each other constantly, and are probably the Elvin world's most powerful telepaths.

Also, I doubt Gethen is "proud" of Sophie but we've seen some interesting things from father figures lately (Cassius and Bronte in Legacy). And he has some Gisela-like vibes so why not.

Idk how Gethen and Oralie would be "apart but together" though. Maybe them both being councillors and Sophie's biological parents? The only interractions we'be seen between them were Gethen threatening to kill Oralie and then ACTUALLY attemting to.

But then again, he could have really been aiming for Forkle so his secret would be protected.

OH and if Gethen was her dad, then ALL of the groups would be connected. A councillor and a member of the Neverseen have a child in the Black Swan would either be a way to peace or war. *cue end of series*

he likes to read books! the first night sophie spent at everglen, she describes waking up the following morning to find fitz curled in an armchair reading a book with some title like 101 Ways To Catch The Wind. this was taught to sophie in her level 2 class only a few chapters later, so that means FITZ ALREADY KNEW HOW TO DO THAT. this dumbass just decided to sit down and READ THAT BOOK FOR FUN

he likes to hold hands so, so much! it’s on his mind all the time! when sophie’s enhancing ability was triggered, he slipped his hand into hers and upon feeling the rush, said something similar to, “wow, this is going to make me want to hold your hand even more,” while smiling. b-BITCH?? EXCUSE ME??? I LOVE YOU???

he is scared of looking directly into sophie’s eyes for too long because eye contact with her is very intimate and it makes him a fluttery even though he tries to keep his cool!
