Is it controversial to say that I like QSMP 2 lore more than QSMP 1? These guys are actually allowed to have so many ongoing stories at once, that don’t have to be linked, but they’re slowly weaving it all together as people keep making connections without knowing the whole situation and then getting dragged into it. The cubitos all have different wants and motives, which lets them actually fight amongst each other. Q1 were so united, the only way conflict was made was when either the eggs or a cubito were in danger, not because a cubito was the danger.
I don’t know man, I just like how complex everything is and how people can dislike some cubitos because they’re following the villain POV and so they get surrounded by misinformation about the person they hate (q!Ashswag because literally every villain wants him) and how you can have people be less involved and it makes sense. Of course the Dutch don’t do much, they don’t really have stakes in anything. In Q1, you couldn’t just not fight the Feds, your kids were on the line.
And even with the cubitos who are in the lore, they get all twisted around in what’s happening that they get the wrong idea about everything because in a sea of liars, they don’t know who to trust (q!Katie). I just love seeing characters who so obviously can’t let themselves be in the wrong so they blame others and try everything to make it look like it wasn’t their fault. Mmm yes, Multi, tell me more about how Juans death is actually Ashswags fault, you know the guy trying to save Juan from you and who comforted Juan until the end, mmmm how fascinating. Oh yes Aldo, there was no other way because Juan wasn’t listening to you, so you obviously had to kill him, I see everything makes sense now.
It’s so good, although we could tone down the griefing. And we can still have fun events! We can be silly and ignore lore, unless you’re Ashswag, then you get hit with the “We need to talk…” as soon as you log in. Seriously, what the fuck does Ash having cooking up, he is in almost every fucking lore at this point. Actually, he might be in every lore. Holy fuck, he actually is, no way poor guy… bro cannot catch a break. He just keeps getting dragged into things without his knowledge because either Ewron uses we/us pronouns again, or the newest villain just has it out for him now? I guess?
There’s all the lore about radiation and chips, the North, Ewron’s shenanigans which are entity and paranormal lore, Federation lore, Dark Cucurucho now, he’s linked with multiple Q1 cubitos who tell him things e.g. Maximus and Fit, he has his own fucking lore, he also gets linked with Katie lore, also all of the other Regime members.
I feel so bad for q!Ashswag no wonder he’s canonically suicidal and self-harms, bro that’s a pretty reasonable response to all this nonsense he’s stuck in. Remember that half of the list is Ewron, he didn’t even know about Dark Cucurucho. Also, whatever is up with his heart, which he doesn’t give two shits about mind you. He’s been in so much BS that being handed his own heart didn’t cause much of a reaction. Also, Ewron wants him to help him take Nacho to Dark Cucurucho now, because of course he does. When my cubito streams, we have to beg him to find that fucking unicorn and dinosaur daughters we wanted, but nooooooo he just has to talk to Ewron now, and they might have a dinosaur child? And Ghosty is now also Ewrons child, to the point where she’s above Grzegorz in the wiki bro look:
Can we put Ewron in a cage for a week so he stops running around and causes issues, please. He would probably like it too, the kinky fucker he is. Also, can I say that he actually seemed mad when Katie called the Federation her family, that didn’t feel as manipulative, he felt actually hurt by that. Because they both know how awful the Feds can be, they both know about Ghosty. And look at how much Ewron has suffered because she died, and how much Ash has suffered, so I felt like while it was still a manipulation attempt on his end, it held truth to it. Oh, Ewron, if only you didn’t lie to the people who actually want to help you, then they would actually help you.
