Ash fell over his own feet. For the fifth time since they had started walking. As Ash sprawled over the ground, Squiddo fell over in laughter. At this rate, they would never make it to their apartment. As Ash picked himself up and winced, Squiddo wiped the tears from his eyes.

“At this point, just get on my back. We’re never gonna make it!” Squiddo managed to squeak(?) out.

“Okay!” Ash jauntily replied, waiting for Squiddo to bend his knees.

Ash climbed onto his back, hugging Squiddo’s neck to the point of strangulation.

“Ack—Ash wait—no really stop—my neck—I can’t breathe—” Ash loosened his arms, but only slightly, laying his head on Squiddo’s shoulder. As Squiddo stumbled home, Ash giggled the entire time.

“What’s so funny?” Squiddo panted.

“I’m just happy.”
