I cant stop thinking about how the fandom perceives Lovro, and how he is talking about like he is some kind of high maintenance brat - obviously this is a fine interpretation and it's fun for fic and he does enjoy teasing Ivan canonically in ep 10 though I would argue he only does this to draw Ivan out of his head like ep 10 is just the Lovro Loves Being Around His Boyfriend So Much And They Can Finally Communicate Freely Without Barriers episode. I'm not here to yuck anyone's yum, but I do think it comes from this fundamental misinterpretion of their conflict in eps 7 and 8, especially when we must view all scenes between a couple as being 'buzzy' or 'not buzzy'.

They argue in those eps because there is a breakdown in communication - Lovro cannot see past his fear and Ivan is becoming increasingly manic. And yet, despite the fact that the show validates almost every single one of Lovro's fears, there is very little empathy in this fandom for him. Whenever I see people talk about those scenes, it is always framed as them feeling bad for Ivan, like Ivan is owed public affection and Lovro is the bad guy for refusing to offer it. Lovro's fear isn’t seen as being equally worthy to Ivan's desire, and I think ultimately so much of the ire towards this season boils down to an inability to take Lovro's fear seriously, because that IS the plot of the season. That is his character arc. And it's fine not to like that or think it was done poorly or think it's not the spirit of skam s3 to express a more challenging reality for young queer people, but like it's important to me that people know that Lovro isnt a brat or high maintenance for being afraid of public affection and for having a boundary that is repeatedly disrespected. Why is the empathy always with Ivan for being abandoned and never with Lovro for seeking out Ivan because he thinks he will understand and being faced with someone who can't relate to his fear and keeps pushing that boundary?

Neither of them are wrong or bad people bc the show does a very good job of establishing that this all comes down to an ability or inability to communicate but like. As someone who has probably thought about Lovro every day for the last 7 months I sometimes wonder how people can have followed him every day that the show was on and still show such little empathy for him.

The rain already creates this lush and meaningful liminal space between them in petak 23:07 and also carries a liminal function subota 11:30 as we see lovro literally transition from objective reality to animation, but I'd like to present this theory of rain as being something that quite literally connects them. I've been thinking so much about the nature of their relationship and how they bring each other into their worlds and how this is done on a symbolic level, and I think it's fair to say that Ivan's world is water and Lovro's is stars/the sky - what is a better way to emphasise those key points in their worlds colliding than through rain?

Especially in subota 11:30 and then subota 18:15 - in the first clip, it is raining the entire time that we see lovro searching for Ivan, and when he does think he's found him, what does that fake-ivan turn into? Waterrrrrr. The rain represents lovro trying to enter Ivan's world again, but where does Lovro find Ivan? The rooftop! In Lovro’s space, as close to the sky as he can get. By subota 18:15, the rain has stopped, and the clip is resolved by them resettling in the middle ground, on the floor (Ivan's space) in Lovro's room (obviously Lovro's space), finally being able to be completely honest with each other after trying to escape into the other's world to seek comfort/each other.

Apologies if anyone else has already pointed this out/if it doesnt make any sense, but when I was thinking about the water and star/sky imagery I kept returning to in my own fic (building obvs on what the show has already set up) I was like....... hang on a minute.............

Rewatching the trailer and I know im MASSIVELY cornplating bc Vanessa is also in light colours but....... do we think there's anything to Filip/Roko/Nix all being dressed in a similar colour palette while everyone else is in predominantly darker clothing.
