Absolutely no chance they met before NRC. And i do think, if they did, maybe Leona's life would have been different (not cause of Ruggie, but opening his eyes to the world and not be self centered).

Actually in my pirate AU, I make them meet when they're younger. Leona will open his eyes to the world and see the world is way more than being second born and that his place is maybe somewhere else. And Ruggie will have a purpose in life other than surviving, following Leona. And they will both leave the country to live a different life (piracy yeah!).

So, here's a little idea of how I can imagine what would be their first interaction x). Let's not forget, first, hyenas are oucasts. 2, Leona is a spoiled prince. Won't do a full comic cause I will do it for my pirate AU one day.

Funny enough, as kids, I do think their dynamic would be reversed x). Leona does make fun of Ruggie, but overall, it feels like Ruggie makes more fun of Leona (and it's always justified so it's hilarious, while Leona is just being mean). As kids, I totally see Leona making fun of Ruggie but Ruggie won't have much to answer.

We have no idea when Leona got his scar, but I like to think it might be around his 10 (i didn't wanted to draw him with a patch...)

Oh for this event, I saw some fanart of Leona trying to eat Epel, I got the same idea at first too but... I don't know if I said it here, but i LOVE the relationship between Leona and Trey :3. I find them super cute together, I do think Trey is maybe one of the few 3rd years he doesn't mind spending time with. His vignette of his playful land card is super cute!

I "finished" it in time yeah!! I spent all day to finish it i'm exhausted... Been working on it for days (but got the idea since last year).

You know, i've never been a fan of chapter 2, Leona is at his worst and so different from what he is today. But, but, I absolutely love their relationship and their "we gonna change the world" thing. I loved how Ruggie looked up to Leona and how he was ready to follow him without question. I love this trope. How he hoped Leona will change his life... Sadly post chapter 2, this idea kinda disappeared or barely mentioned.

So, I always wondered how Ruggie would react to Leona's graduation. Of course he'd be happy and proud for him, no doubt. But I like to think he'd be sad. Cause Leona brought him so much. Ruggie will be fine without Leona. But he doesn't follow Leona for money. But for what he stands for.

I like to think Ruggie will go to college (I'm still stuck at Trein talking to him about the scholarship for animal linguistic university), that's why I wanted to draw that as a gift :3.

Honestly I just wanted to draw the housewardens being silly, sue me.

Trying to kill Binghe or being antagonistic makes their relationship develop into Bingge/Shen Jiu where they tear each other apart or end up with Shen Jiu broken or dead. Ignoring the system and being kind to Binghe, ignoring him, or trying to resist its hold ends up with a more Shen Yuan/Binghe relationship.

Different versions of Shen Qingqiu include the street rat, the slave, the peak lord, and the transmigrator. Different versions of Binghe include the sheep, the emperor, the lover, and the demon

Bingge ranting about his scum Shizun to demons and them all like 'yeah sounds like standard demonic teaching' Bingge blue screening while demons are all like 'He focused all this on you, wow you must be prized pupil'

Bingge trying to argue that he didn't know he was a demon but remembering on abyss SQQ saying something like 'I always knew you were a beast' and like he always knew I was a demon...

he slept with qin wanyue at the IAC because she was dying and he was afraid and wanted to be kind, and he didn’t know how to say no. and he kept just…not knowing how to say no. everyone always had one dying wish or a deadly poison or some sort of urgent need. and lbh wanted to be good. he was desperate for any sign that he wasn’t irredeemable, that there was something about him that anyone could ever want. and these women kept throwing themselves at him in moments of desperation. and he wanted to be good.

wouldn’t it be too cruel to say no to this woman when he said yes to that one, just because he didn’t particularly want to? wouldn’t that be too arbitrary and selfish? what makes one worthy of his ‘yes’ and another unworthy? lbh had no framework to evaluate that sort of thing, no sense that this was something he could just Not Want. he wanted to be wanted, and here these women were, wanting and wanting and wanting him. why would he turn down the only thing he really desired, just because it didn’t come to him in a way he liked?

and then he picked up xin mo, and all notions of desire fled him. he’d never wanted to sleep with any of those women, but now he needed to. it was either dual cultivate with whoever asked or be consumed by xin mo. what option did he have? he was often on the verge of qi deviation; much of his ‘wife collecting’ could probably be attributed to medical necessity. and what was he supposed to do afterward? disrespect those women by sleeping with them and then discarding them? of course he’d add them to his harem. what other dignity could he offer afterward?

he never really wanted any of it. he never enjoyed it particularly. it was nice, maybe, with ning yingying because she cared for him in a way he could trust. she cared for him in her own clumsy way before his name meant anything, and when she looked after him it always felt safe. he got along with liu mingyan well, trusted her wisdom and forthrightness—and she was never overly affectionate or insincere when they cultivated together. he believed, at the very least, that she respected him as an equal.
