The Youtuber Etika was found dead today, and this after he made a suicide video couple days ago.
Watched some of his videos and streams since last year, really funny and entertaining guy. More than anything, I respected him as a person. He had a huge following, full of people supporting him with donations every stream. Also very supportive of artists, showing their profiles on his streams to help spread their works and stuff. That is a thing I never expect big channels to do, helping the small content creators.
I’ve never been very social so I can’t imagine how that popularity feels, so you can say I was even envious of him. I thought he was probably the happiest guy around, having so much support from people who he never even met personally. All he had to do was show on screen and people would love him and donate to help his life, which is crazy for me to imagine. Until yesterday I thought that suicide talk was a ruse. No way a guy that loved by people would end his life and lose it all. But it seems he did.
I have no idea what happened to make him take things that far, and I really want to know. It’s honestly mind blowing to me, as I was just expecting him to go back to streaming like he did the other times he went crazy.
Regardless of the cause, he is gone. And in my eyes, he had a “easy life”. Start a stream, get enough donations that can pay for his bills the next three months, and thats it, go sleep with a smile on his face. Sorry, but if I had a life like that I would be the most grateful man on this planet.
Life is too hard, merciless. I lost jobs, girlfriends, friends, family, and I’m poor as fuck. So believe me when I say that I know how tough being alive can be!
I’ve been kicked around more times than I can count, but I’m still here.
Life is precious and short, and I have dreams and ambitions I wanna reach one day. No matter how hard it gets, my dreams for the future are what keeps me going, and anyone who is in the same situation should do the same.
Think of all the amazing things that tomorrow can bring if you keep putting the effort. We are all humans, we have the willpower to do anything. The fact that we lived this long, that we evolved, its all proof. No matter how bad things can happen to us, we can always stand back up and fight it.
It saddens me that so many people in this planet don’t understand how powerful we humans can be. If you have two arms and two legs then you are not inferior to anyone else. You just have to understand that you can do anything, and you just need to find the willpower in you.
Just fight! You have to fight! I know it is not a easy mentality to have, and that ending everything is the easy way out, but just remember that when you are gone you are really gone! There’s no coming back from death!
Truth is we will all die one day, but the important part is that we make the most of life before that time comes. Find a purpose in life. Find your ambitions and fight for them.
Again, I hate talking about serious and sad stuff, and I’m not the type that “blogs” at all, but today I felt like saying something. I’m not a popular internet user so I don’t know if anyone is reading this, but in the case that this goes to someone that needed to read it I had to put it out.
Don’t feel the need to like this post, reply to it or anything, I wrote this for anyone that would read it, and also to remind myself that suicide is a thing that happens, even to people that I least expect it to.
