shoutout to child and teen alters who have caretakers that don't fit the typical 'parent' mold, and those caretakers themselves!

i'm not sure if i would consider our host my caretaker, necessarily, but prince does play a similar role. prince is my good friend, but also does parental things like setting rules for me, keeping me out of trouble, and doing things for me that i don't feel comfortable with.

prince is not my parent, and should not have to hold princeself to the standards set for parents. you could equate prince to an uncle or sibling, but none of those things really seem to fit exactly. if i had to give prince a typical role, i'd say prince's like that one elementary school friend's older sibling who watches over you and your friend while your parents cant. the one who may tag along in games, drive you around, but doesn't coddle you. the one who's guidelines are pretty much "don't die", and "don't f*ck sh*t up", but who will protect you from anything that is actually a threat.

i did my very first sesion with r new therapist and she is so awsome!!! i told her my system calls me a tiny tyrant so i can maybe help my alters do things x3 by forcing them or just getting the habit to muscle memory! so we decide me and my system should work on being in touch with r body emotions cause a lot of us good and bad emotions r hard for us!!

so this is my idea i think i am gonna assign a plushie for every emotion and when we are feeling something we are gonna need to hold that plushie and keep it around and tell it what we are feeling that for and be very nice to it cause the emotion is good and we love it it is just a silly little penguin that wants to help us!!! i think maybe playing pretend will help every body to feel better about it.

does any body else have more good ideas about identifying emotions and acepting emotions???? ^_^
