I had a lot of fun being part of the NPC Mini Bang event over at xivnpcbang.bsky.social the past few months, during which I got to draw this huge mural/comic of one of my favorite FFXIV characters, based on a story by @quillofevernight ! <3

Man you really do not realize how frequently FR adds new genes to the rosters until you try to keep up a complete spreadsheet of all of them 😂

My apologies to the marine biology enjoyers; for maybe-obvious reasons, the sea creatures aren't drawn to correct scale...like at all X'D Unfortunately Undertides are so huge that anything smaller than a whale was going to look tiny, so very quickly I felt it best to just throw realism out the window and go by aesthetics haha. (Plus, the Tully Monster should also get to be big. It deserves it. u__u )

Fun fact: right after I finished the background set, the last and possibly most taxing stage of the project, I did my usual backup and...accidentally copied the several-days-old backup over the final psd TT__TT Imagine the feeling when I woke up the next day, ready and eager to start assembling the display file with what should've been 11 nice and freshly-finished backgrounds, only to find 4 of them nowhere in sight XD Gone forever! So Earth, Wind, Nature, and Shadow are technically version 2s hahaha. Thankfully the second go went much faster.

Also on the sketchbook note, earlier this year I started the goal of finishing the dragon one (where all the life drawings are) by year's end. I've had that one since 2018 or 2019 and haven't done anywhere near as much with it or any of my sketchbooks as I'd like in a long time. After starting life drawing, though, the pages ended up going by really quickly, and I'm quite pleased to say that as of today I only have 7 pages left in the book! ✨So unless something goes horribly wrong in the next ~30 days (which CAN happen, you never know lmao) hitting the goal of finishing by New Year's is well within reach. Neat stuff \ ( ◕ v ◕)/
