Friendly reminder that alterhumanity is not a competition. You aren't somehow "less" alterhuman / therian / whatever because you identify in a different way to others (and vice versa). I am both bovine and human, and there's nothing wrong with that - people who say they are fully animal and don't identify and human at all, aren't "more therian" than those who are still human. Just different! Same with people who have more theriotypes or more common / rare types. Sending hoof bumps to all my fellow animal - human people, we are still therians

▪︎ MY INTRO ▪︎
Hey, I'm wereffalo! The name, if you couldn't tell, is a combination of werewolf and buffalo. I'm a therian, and I want to use tumblr to share my nonhuman experiences, thoughts, and obligatory aesthetic tumblr posts with a community who understands me. I'd love to get to know some other fellow nonhumans!
▪︎ THERIANTHROPY ▪︎
I am a bovine cladotherian. That means that I identify as all bovines. However, you'll see me most often representing myself as a buffalo or a bison, as those are the animals I feel most strongly. I don't really bother to label myself as psychological or spiritual or anything else like that, but what I can say for certain is that I have the mind, heart and soul of a bovine.
My username was inspired by the fact that I view myself as human and bovine at the same time, so I'm like a werewolf, but bull instead of wolf. I don't experience that as species dysphoria as many other nonhumans, as I'm a strong believer that 'what must be, will be'. I don't understand why I was born human, but it surely happened for a reason, so I've learnt to embrace both sides of myself.
Having a rare theriotype has, at points, made me feel alienated from the community. Prey animals in general are uncommon (and unfortunately tend to be the butt of jokes made by other therians), and buffalo are especially rare - I've never met another buffalo, though I've seen a couple cattle around. Cladotherians also aren't super common, and I've only ever seen canine cladotherians. I hope that some people with equally rare theriotypes will see my posts and see that they aren't alone!
