I had this dream where sabo and law are in a forest and they make a deal. In exchange for leaving the forest Law has to bond with Sabo.
Sabo excitedly kisses Law and slips a ring on their finger. Law feels a burning on their leg and Sabo feels a burning on his leg.
Law unexpectedly pulls their pants down make Sabo flush before zeroing in on something. Law reads out Saboâs full name âMonkey D Saboâ on their thigh and shouts in surprise at him being a âDâ.
Sabo drops his to read âTrafalgar D Water Lawâ and shouts that they are a âDâ too!?
Sabo got on his knees to look at his name on their thigh more closely, making Law bashful. When Law had enough Law asks if they can pull their pants up now.
Sabo scrambles to give them space and to pull his own pants up. He fake coughs.
He is very happy that itâs something almost unbreakable now. If Law had known Sabo was a âDâ they would have been more careful with their words.
Sabo gleefully carries Law out of the forest but not out of his territory. They should have been really careful of their words.
Law grumbles about how they should have known. Strawhat is impulsive, of course someone related to him would also be impulsive. They hadnât known each others full names until it was burned on to each other.

If names and other pleasantries were still more serious affairs then something like that would happen :3
In a modern setting a bond wouldnât be so strong like that unless they shared full names first. But in a less modern setting just the promise of bonding and knowing parts of names was enough.
It was a deal, a promise, and a bond. Sabo had an offering (the ring) and Law accepted (the kiss).
Something along those lines :3
I had imagined it was Female Law (my default) but it could also work for regular Law.
Sabo was human but his affiliation and brotherhood with two âDâs (who are obviously fae) bestowed him fae adjacent and that was enough to make it official.

I didnât hammer out the details or write what they said to each other, but this is pretty much it!
Now they will have to work on the ceremony to satisfy Lawâs parental figureâs traditions. He was very angry but he canât break the bond (two âDâs bonding is a very strong Magic)
Lae had agreed because they didnât know Sabo was also a âDâ and figured they could break it later if necessary and really didnât think it would be a romantic bond and instead something less serious.
Why did Sabo have a ring offering!? A necklace would have been easier to break the bond, but nope! He didnât offer a necklace, he offered a ring.
A bracelet would have been ideal because that was the weakest of the three offerings!
(Unknown to Law, Sabo got a ring specifically for Law)

Oh! There are a few unofficial offerings, but anything for the hand (and wrist) or neck is like a declaration.
Sabo has been gifting and courting Law for quite a bit before finally asking. He would not leave them alone.
