Anyways, I absolutely LOVE all the band aus. Oughh you just get all the characters so well. Sabo is my personal favorite (he is absolutely that kind of freak), and I CHEERED when I saw sabolaw. Oda, make those two weirdos interact and my whole soul is yours. Anyways. I also really really love the shachi and penguin dynamic you made, them being weird and codependent and most definitely gay âĸ is perfect.

i'm so glad you liked them! unfortunately atm i'm pulling 12 hour days at my tech job so my brain is a little too melted to work on the fic rn but i'm SUPER glad i posted, now i have motivation.
i have a solid story arc with abt 12-15 chapters outlined, the first 5 should go pretty fast since it's literally just experiences I've had in my local metal scene + me on my sappy romance shit. i'm a little hesitant to post before it's done due to the way i discover characters as i write them (and how i tend to write out of order), but also...if i wait that long i'll never post them lol.
yes, sabolaw dynamics are dear to my heart. i feel like law has this weird thing going on where in order to open up, he needs: 1) someone more insane than him that 2) he still respects but 3) isn't nice to him? it's like a weird line where if he thinks you like him TOO much he freaks out but if you act indifferent he thinks you're abandoning him, and if you're annoying he seeks you out but won't admit he enjoys your company (see: luffy, kid).
sabo is like. the perfect cure for that. because he's DEFINITELY insane enough to make law feel secure in his life choices, but mature enough that law doesn't write him off. and i feel like sabo isn't a "talking about your feelings" kinda guy, so law won't get turned off there, but he also is like...friendly and affectionate enough to include law in his life, which is intimate. sabo is very present, which is what a LOT of people w abandonment issues need (you can figure out why **I** know that, lol). what i'm saying is that law is a feral cat, basically. he doesn't like people trying to pet him but he does like attention (ie food)
and while law doesn't deal with his emotions, sabo...does? in the same way luffy does, which is like...healthy processing, imo. we don't really know enough about sabo in canon to know if that's true but it's true in my heart and my fic. so law is learning to deal with his emotions by osmosis. he still needs to go to a goddamn therapist but it's better than nothing.
also yeah, the penguin/shachi thing is a sendup to my ex who would take literally any opportunity to make out with other dudes, and then like an hour later he would turn to me and be like "i'm not gay though. i don't like men." and i'd be like...yeah man. whatever. penguin/shachi is just the logical extreme of that. they are straight men who are dating each other, what's confusing about that! get with the picture!
