despite being an alcoholic, he tries his best for his family. plus, he doesn’t want his daughter to turn out like him once she grows up so he makes sure to not drink in front of her and let her see him in such a vulnerable state.

"daddy, what’s that?" your daughter came up to leon one evening while holding up a heavy bottle of whiskey with both of her small hands. leon quickly got up and snatched it from her "nothing, sweetie" he chuckled nervously, but inside? he’s never been more panicked.

ever since his daughter found that bottle of whiskey tucked away in the pantry, he has double-locked the liquor cabinets. not that they weren’t already locked, and kept his bottles concealed behind stacks of canned beans and boxes of cereal, knowing his daughter often got sick and vomited at.

your daughter would often draw his eyeliner for him, accidentally poking his eye in the process. she would then sweetly apologize with a childish "oops" covering her mouth to hide her giggles as she tried to suppress her amusement at her dad’s mock serious expression.

he doesn’t mind when his daughter doodles silly things on his motorcycle, as long as it can be cleaned off without damage. However, during a mission one day, chris noticed he had missed a spot and started laughing after the mission was over, saying, "next thing i know, you’ll be fighting zombies with a bow in your hair."

he’d let his daughter braid his hair whenever she wished, often adding glitter that he would spend hours trying to remove later. "you’re all glittered up, leon" you’d laugh as he carefully rinsed out each sparkle, meticulously working to eliminate every shimmer from his hair and he’d shoot you a don’t-mention-it-or-i’ll-kill-you glare.

he’d scare the other kids whenever he took your daughter to the park. they would whisper, "your dad is so scary" in her ear, causing her to get mad, cross her arms, and frown. She would retort confidently "yeah, but he’s better than yours!"

he cringed when he first called you ‘sweetheart’ or ‘doll’ feeling that the affectionate terms were overly cheesy and awkward. however, considering he was leon s. kennedy, there is nothing too cheesy for him. over time, he grew accustomed to the nicknames and now can’t help but call you those names constantly, as they have become an endearing part of his routine.
