Heyo! đ Nice to meet you. Got back into watching otome game letâs plays + playing some gamee myself! Love that you translate otome games that didnât have a localisation like Reine des Fleurs! Itâs such an niche & underrated thing. The artâs gorgeous. Kinda Tragic at times but interesting. Your dedication to your work of translating is inspiring since it does take time & effort to go sentence by sentence & have it match the og intent & all! đ«¶âš
Thank you very much for your kind comment! I will be honest, recently I have been unable to make any time to translate Reine Des Fleurs or other franchise because it is really hard being as a college student in (Aerospace) engineering xD. However, I do look forward in getting back into translating over the course of summer since it will be a long vacation and hopefully I can finish some charactersâ routes in BWS too, since I could never get the game before but now that theyâve(?) launched it on switch, I am extremely excited to get that interpreted as well!
I could also argue that in the age of artificial intelligence nowadays there might not be much use of having translated scripts for people compared to virtually translated integration, but, translation and Japanese language has been my passion since I was in 8th grade back in high school and I am even considering a minor in Japanese! This hobby of mine never gets tiring and vile. :)
I made a fanbook last summer with all my CxM drawings from the end of 2020 to 2022 and I'm currently making another with the CxM fanart from 2023 to 2024 and I realized I never showed you the first one.
This book is very special to me, and I hope the new one I'm making right now look even more beautiful.
Reine des FleursâPrologue II: Knightsâ Reception Ceremony (Part 2/2)
-> [Part 1/2]
Translator's Note: This is the END of common prologue before you get to initiate individual character's routes! I am planning on starting with Leon's route, but if any of you have any special request for any characters do let me know! âĄ(â§âœâŠ)âĄ
Leon: Finally got you in hands! My⊠my destined woman!!
Violette: âââ
Due to the sudden striking vision and strong physical force, my thoughts came to a complete halt.Â
What.
The actual.Â
Leon: No matter how hard I tried to control myself, I failed. Seeing you in front of me, IâŠ!
VioletteâŠ
Violette!
Please call my name more. I came all the way up here just to see you!
Violette: âŠ!
Leon: I wonât let you goâŠ! Like hell Iâd ever let you go!!
Violette: GhâŠ!
Leon: You are only mine alone!! I love youââ
Ageha: This goddamn bastard aaaaargh!!!
Along with Agehaâs abusive shout, I was released from the binding.Â
Being unable to move even a single body part, I just stood there in the daze.Â
Leon: Whâwhat are you doing!?
Ageha: You!Â
Leon: Uwa!
Ageha: Piece of crap!Â
Leon: Oucâ!
Ageha: So many times!
Leon: GuhâŠ!?
Ageha: Told you not to fuck up!
Leon: Khah!
Ageha: Didnât Iâ!!?
Violette: âŠâŠ
âŠâŠâŠ
Hubert: PrincessâŠare you alright, Princess?
Violette: âŠâŠ
Hubert: âŠPrincess?
âViolette falls on the floor.Â
Hubert: Violette!!
Asagi: Are you okay, Princess!
Tsumabeni: Hey heyâŠ
Uranami: We are done for it seemsâŠ
Hubert: It seems like a mere loss of consciousnessâŠ
Louis: The northern knight seems to be overly passionate.Â
Orpheus: Iâ I hope she will be fineâŠ?
Ageha: This jerk! He is the worst!!
Ghislain: Seems like the one who caused it has already fainted.Â
Hubert: Let them do as they please. I will take care of the Princess.Â
Tsumabeni: Need a hand?
Hubert: Nope. I will count on you for this place.Â
Asagi: Understood. âŠYou vile nemesis of our Princess!!
âAsagi runs up to them.Â
Orpheus: Eh, AsagiâŠ!
Asagi: I am giving you a hand too, lady Ageha!
Ageha: Heck yeah, thereâs no goingâeasy! Make him drop dead!
Asagi: Haaaahâ!!Â
âSmack continues.Â
In the midst of the aggressive chaos, the sillness from a few hours before feels like a lieâ â
Beyond my abandoned consciousness, I can hear a faint voice echoing.Â

Reine des FleursâPrologue I: The Princess of the Heavens and the Knights of the Earth (Part 2/2)
â [Part 1/2]
Violette: Are we good with joining them now?
Akane: I am ready. âĄâĄâĄ
Hold onâŠmm?
Violette: Akane?
Akane: MmmhâŠ
Violette: Did something happen?
Akane: I want you to hold on a bit.Â
âAkane runs to the door.
Ruri: Uwaaah!?
Akane: What do you think youâre doing, Ruri!!
Violette: RuriâŠHave you been eavesdropping all this time?
Ruri: Ahâ well, you seeâŠ! I was increasingly getting concerned for AkaneâŠ!
Akane: Still, eavesdropping between girls-conversations is extremely rude mannerism!
Ruri: Now that I rememberâ arenât you the root cause behind all theseâŠ!
Akane: But now you can call it even! I am not going to apologize to you anymore!
Ruri: Nghâ the actual heckâ!
Violette: (...Looks like they are back in their usual everyday versions.)
Now hey, enough. Letâs end our fight here.Â
I want you two to step up closer.Â
Ruri & Akane: âŠâŠ
Though timidly, both of them were able to rest their heads in the designated place.Â
Usually they do not hesitate in clinging on, but today they are tending to hold back themselves.Â
Violette: I have said this to Akane tooâŠyou will always be my only two butterflies.Â
No matter what happens from now on, that will never change.Â
For both good and lonely daysâŠwe three have always been together, right?
Akane: âŠWe have.Â
Ruri: âŠAlways been together.
Violette: Even though you guysâ mischief get us in trouble at timesâŠI love you, Akane and Ruri.Â
What about you?
Akane: Of course, Akane loves our Princess a lot!
Ruri: Same for me, I love you!Â
Violette: âŠThank you, my adorable little twin-butterflies.
Ruri & Akane: EheheâŠ
Ruri: âŠI have made up my mind. No matter what kind of people come up, we will not let go of you so easily!
If the Princess has to fulfil her duties, I will help with everything I can by all means!
Akane: If anybody tries to bully you, I will fight them to the fullest! I will make them pay twice the price!Â
Violette: âŠYou do not have to worry about that. I will just accept the feelings, okay?
âCG ends.Â
Violette: Well, now that Enge is waiting for us down there, letâs go then?
Ruri & Akane: Yeeesâ!
âScene changes.Â
Violette: We are back now, Enge.Â
Madame Enge: Welcome back, seems like you have fixed up everything with them neat and clean.Â
Violette: Yeah, thanks to you.Â
Akane: I am really sorry for making you worriedâŠ
Ruri: Same hereâŠfor leaving without letting any of you know.Â
Madame Enge: Yeahâ now that you have properly reconciled, then it is enough to satisfy me.Â
Letâs end these tough conversations at the moment and take seats for our tea.Â
Violette: Yeah, letâs do that.Â
âAfter that, we would spend a lovely tea time together.Â
The Goddess has poured her divine strengths into the Earth through the bodies of Knights, who are also Seedâfolks.Â
Upon obtaining the power known as âGrĂące,â Solvielle gradually began to show omen ofâ
Once again gradually achieved slow rebirth.Â
And so, for the sake of eternal provision of the GrĂące in the land, the Goddess creates a new world.Â
The sanctuary floating in the heavensâParthedame.Â
A paradise adorned with beautiful flowers, with the Tree of Life â the source of GrĂące â resting at its heart.
After placing everything in its order, the Goddess enters an everâending sleep, being a refugee within the Tree of Life.Â
The will of the Goddess has been passed down on her vesselâ âReineâ and the four knightsâ
Even to this day, the blessings are continued being sent to the surface world.Â
âScene changes.
As the night falls, Enge and I head over to Huberâs mansion in order to attend the dinner party.Â
Akane and Ruri are staying home this time.Â
I expected some protest, but due to the commotion we had earlier, they readily agreed.Â
Marionette: Welcome, you two.Â
All the guests have already arrived. This way, please.Â
Violette: Yeah, thank you.Â
???: Princess, and Madame Enge. I have been eagerly waiting for you.Â
Violette: Good Evening, Lord Bonheur.
Madame Enge: Have we arrived overly late?
Bon Bonheur: No, you have arrived just on time. It is the nature of lead roles to arrive at dinner parties late.Â
This well-mannered gentleman is Lord Bon-Bonheur. He is a flower-born carrying the satsumaâmandarin flower-crest.
Belonging in Hubertâs mansion, he is the care-taker of all sorts of kitchen affairs.Â
He always earns admiration from those around him through his passionate endeavor on gourmet cuisine and abundant knowledge. Â
Bon Bonheur: All the invited guests are already present. You two please take a seat as well.Â
Violette: You are right. Well please allow meâ
After exchanging just enough greetings, we too proceed to sit in our designated chairs.Â
Not long after, dazzling colorful cuisines were being served one after the other.Â
Bon Bonheur: If this gathering celebration is for the long-awaited union, I am very sure there are many stories for us to unfold.Â
May you not only enjoy the taste of the meals this evening but also savor the time of our togetherness as we dine.Â
Now that the hors d'oeuvre are arranged neatly before all of us, I put my gaze in the path to everyone else.Â
Violette: My gratitude especially for Hubert and Lord Bonheur for preparing this occasion.Â
Well then everybody, let us begin our mealâŠas we celebrate tonightâs reunion.
âAfter a whileÂ
Uranami: Mhm, just as I would expect from Lord Bonheur. Havenât you made great progress since two years ago?
Madame Enge: FufuâŠhe is a devotee to his job every day after all. Wouldnât you agree, Princess?
Violette: Yes, all thanks to Lord Bonheur, I have begun looking forward to his meals.
I wasnât used to the meals in the pastâŠa few bites of sweets were all I could manage to eat.
Tsumabeni: I am more of an alcohol guy myself. The booze from Chrysantheme was really good.Â
Ageha: If you can adapt to meals, they are not too bad either.Â
It was fun seeing the way menus would totally vary throughout morning, noon and night.Â
Violette: Morning, noon and nightâŠyou have been eating on such a regular schedule?
Asagi: Yes. Although we flowerâborns have no need for meals or sleepâ â
In order to have a better understanding of the knights, I made it a point to experience the customs of seedâfolks as best as possible.Â
Violette: Is that soâŠ
Hubert: Did I not tell you, Princess? Even meals and sleep are meaningful things.Â
You seemed to have frequently been enjoying the teaâtime, thanks to the twin butterflies, butâ â
When it comes to sleepâŠeven the bed taken care of for you seems to remain cold as always.
Violette: âŠI am trying my bestâŠfor what itâs worthâŠ
Hubert: Naturally, that is what is expected of you.Â
Ageha: Hubert, please donât throw cold words at such special occasionsâcut such a boorish mindset, will you?
Hubert: GoodnessâŠwell my apologies.Â
Though thanks to Ageha I was savedâŠHubert did say the right thing.
Violette: (In order to understand the knights better, I cannot afford but to change the way I live.)
Eventually upon finishing the final desert, everyone takes a relaxing time toâ
Hubert: âNow, shall we proceed to the main topic?
Everyoneâs facial expression becomes tense at this single line from Hubert, and a wave of tension walks into the room.Â
Hubert: I assume everyone is well-known about this matter butâŠ
No hurt in doing a refresher for the present state we are obliged to fulfil.Â
Violette: âŠYeah, please go ahead.Â
Hubert: As for this aerialâcastleâ Parthedame, came into being in an ancient timeâŠ
Something benevolent Goddess MilĂšne had created in order to restore the blessings into the Earth.Â
At the heart of the land is the Tree of Life containing the mystical power called âGrĂące.â
The GrĂące was bestowed onto the Earth by the ruled âReine,â who was sent as Goddessâs vesselâ
To bring peace into the world is our mission.Â
In order to obtain that, we need assistance from the chosen knights of the four nations in the land below.Â
Violette: GrĂące is sent into the nations through the knightsâ bodies, right?
Hubert: Yes, exactly. The roles of the knights are so to speak, transmission.Â
âŠBut as all of you know, an unprecedented issue is arising in this generation.Â
I have been informed about that issue from time being as well.Â
After the previous Reine passed away, the Reine for the next generation was suppose to be born right after butâ â
For some reason, the next generationâs Reine would not be born, forming a gap of several decades.Â
And that reason is still appeared to be unknown.Â
Hubert: âHowever, the longâwaited Reine has come to take birth, at last.Â
Violette: âŠâŠ
I meet Hubertâs gaze to respond with a nod.Â
Hubert: Our Reine has achieved growth steadily, and the flowerâcrest was able to select the knights as well.Â
Ageha: Now begins our roles to take over.
Hubert: Yes. They were trained to be knights by the Four-Butterflies, guardians of the flower-crest.
Ageha: ...And that also means casting away the body forged by being seed-folk.
Violette: Because their body would need to absorb GrĂące from the time being, right?
Hubert: Yes, after completely transforming into flowerâborns, they will be admitted to Parthedame.Â
And by forming a bond between the Reine and her vassals, the land will head towards tranquilityââ
âŠThat was how things were supposed to flow but
Violette: Huh?Â
Hubert: Having to pour the GrĂące directly into the body belonging to seed-folk can be a great challenge, you see.Â
Therefore, until the last cycle, we would take a span of 4â5 years to gradually accustom their body butâŠ
Because Reineâs throne has been vacant for such a long time, the devastation on the land below has gone up beyond what you would expect.Â
Although it is an exception to the policy, we would need to conclude the training period on the Earth within two years.Â
We decided to get them in Parthedame before they could transform into full-fledged flower-borns.
Violette: No wayâŠ!Â
Itâs my first time hearing it. Iâve not been informed about any of this at all.Â
Violette: That is overly exaggeratedâŠ
Tsumabeni: âŠWell, that is an expected reaction, I guess.Â
Uranami: Oh well, honestly speaking it was a tough time for us too.Â
Itâs really unreasonable to make us finish conditioning them in half the time they would need.
Violette: You all knew about thisâŠ
Asagi: Yeah, Hubert directed us to do so.Â
Violette: Why didnât you tell me about it?Â
Hubert: Because there has been a lot of things left for you to learn as Reine.Â
Getting unnecessary anxieties for knowing this would have interfered with your key responsibilities. Thatâs what I acted upon considering those consequences.Â
Violette: âŠâŠ
(It certainly makes sense logically butâŠ)
âŠBut Parthedame is a place filled with such intense GrĂące.Â
With a body of seedâfolk, they cannot live hereâŠ
Hubert: Of course I have taken that into account. That is where you play a role, Princess.
Violette: HuhâŠ
Hubert: According to the report from the FourâButterfliesâ â
As of now it seems that half of the required GrĂące has been integrated into their bodies.Â
They will be able to manage to live just enough by borrowing the power from the flowerâcrest.Â
As a Reine, you, Princess, can send them the remaining other half portion of the GrĂące.Â
Violette: Me? But what am I exactly supposed to do
Madame Enge: You should recall how earlier on you were able to unravel Akaneâs feelings.Â
Violette: Akane?
Madame Enge: Yes. Although partially progressed, the knights are transforming into flowerâborns, arenât they?
The closer the bond becomes with you and the heart, the more stabilized the GrĂące in the body would be.Â
Hubert: Right, and in short you would need to create a strong connection with them.Â
Let us talk elaborate on how to interact with the knights as you see them face to face.Â
Violette: âŠUnderstood.Â
Hubert: With that being said, you having slightest to no clue about their characters must be uncomfortable for you.Â
We shall have the FourâButterflies explain in detail about each of the knights.Â
Ageha: I will go ahead and explain it first.Â
I was sent over to a country in the north named Pivoine.Â
Of all the four nations in Solvielle, it is the one pridefully containing the largest territory.Â
The flowerâcrest which symbolizes the country is âScarlet Peony.â
And the knightâs name isâLeon.Â
I believe he turned 24. He is from one of the top two noble families in Pivoine.
Uranami: Heh, that is such an honorable title to have.Â
Ageha: If you get carried out simply with âNobilityâ then you may get betrayed down the line.Â
His motivation is, âsecond to none,â butâŠthere are some handful of problems regarding him as well.Â
Violette: Problems?
Hubert: I heard that he is not the guy flowerâcrest had chosen originally, right?
Violette: Not the guy you saidâŠ! How is it even allowed?
Ageha: NoâŠfor someone to run to be a knight outside of selection is something completely unheard of.Â
At first no one sided with himâŠlater on he would not just back down by keeping saying âNo matter what.â
He was so persistent that it eventually became a problem for us too.Â
Even though he would cry or yell, I assumed he would give up once he faced the reality, howeverâ â
I tried providing GrĂące to both the originally selected one and Leon.Â
Tsumabeni: That isâŠso Agehaâish reckless method again.
Asagi: Wouldnât they die if you made one wrong move?
Ageha: I did hold back. Just enough to leave them halfâdead or halfâalive.Â
Violette: (...I cannot be convinced that she went easy at all.)
To the seedâfolks down on the Earth, this pure GrĂące is more likely to be a poison to uphold.
To absorb that internally must be extremely painful, and even more for someone out of the selection.Â
Ageha: And yet, Leon has preserved through the pain till the end.Â
On the contrary the one who was selected gave up early on very promptly.Â
Uranami: Oh well wellâŠwould you call it a ruleâbreaker orâŠbeyond exceptional.Â
Ageha: That got me quite astonished there as well.Â
I reported it to Hubert when I didnât know what to doâŠ
Hubert: Though it is outside of the norm, I have decided to acknowledge him as a knight and continue forward with his training.Â
Violette: âŠLeon is really someone with incredible willâpower it seems.Â
Ageha: Nope, in his case it is more than just willâpowerâŠ
Violette: Eh?
Ageha: âŠWell, nevermind. Anyways, he is a guy with tough grit.Â
Violette: ???
(Somehow she ended it in a dismissive wayâŠor am I overthinking?)
Uranami: Hope I am allowed to proceed now with my turn.
As for where I have been, the country is located in the south, called Campanule.Â
It is well known for its huge economic power house and even beauty and art.Â
The flowerâcrest symbolizing the country is âBellflower.âÂ
And the name of the knight isâ Louis.Â
He is 22 years old. Apparently he is a son of the current King by a concubine.Â
Violette: âŠHe is a prince you mean?
Uranami: Yeah, both in terms of status and looks he is the kind of prince women dream about.Â
I think if he is paired with you, it will be a great match.Â
Asagi: âŠInstead of fussing around, finish your job first, Uranami.Â
Uranami: How annoying, I was being really serious.Â
Because it is totally possible for romance to bloom between a Reine and a knight.Â
Princess has aged too, you must be interested in that too, right?
Violette: âŠPlease donât joke about it.Â
Hubert: Future aside, I think it is too early for my princess to emerge into loveâaffairs.Â
Uranami: Oh well, that is true.Â
Ageha: Puting looks to the side, what is inside of him? That matters the most after all.Â
Uranami: âŠâŠ
Tsumabeni: âŠSeems like he is more of a suspicious person.Â
Uranami: Hate to admit it, that is not quite the case either.Â
Just like me he is an exceedingly wellâbehaved gentleman.Â
Everyone: âŠâŠ
Asagi: In other words, one more is added into the nuisance squad.Â
Everyone nodded to what Asagi just said.
Uranami: âŠAnyways, mine one is further than what you expect. Wouldnât you like to share your side now, Tsumabeniâsan?
Tsumabeni: Oh well, looks like you left me with no other options.Â
The country I was sent to is located in the east, Chrysantheme.
It is a nation covered in steep mountains and great power.Â
The flowerâcrest which symbolizes the nation is âChrysanthemum.â
And the name of the knight isâ â Ghislain.Â
As a soldier he is coming from a fairly reputable lineage family. His age is 20.Â
He is so skilled that he has earned the titleââThe Wrathful Blade of Chrysantheme.â
If we are just talking about physical strength, I would say he wonât lose to anybody.Â
Uranami: âŠYet again? Lord Tsumabeni, looks like you are destined to deal with such kind of folks.Â
Violette: ? What do you mean by âagain?â
Ageha: Hm? Oh that meansâ â
Tsumabeni: It is usual for guys with strong arms to be chosen from the Eastern knights.Â
Ageha: Thatâs right, yup. Coincidences are really scary, arenât they?
Violette: I seeâŠ
Madame Enge: âŠâŠ
Violette: ? Enge, something happened?
Madame Enge: âŠNo. Nothing reallyâŠ
Hubert: In the Parthedame of peace, rough guys tend to be avoided for good.Â
Everytime I would hope for them to choose something gentle in nature.Â
Tsumabeni: âŠYeah, you are absolutely right.
But I assure you that he is not the kind of lawâless to go on rampage indiscriminately.Â
He is an earnest man like a soldierâŠbut he is not a bad guy.Â
Even with Tsumabeniâs deep voice resounding, somehow the room feels strangely quiet.Â
âŠWhat is this heavy atmosphere?
Violette: !
Ageha: Well, now that Tsumabeniâs turn is over, we are just left with Asagi.Â
To catch up with the rhythm of Agehaâs clapped hand piercing through the atmosphere, Asagi consents with nervousness.Â
Asagi: Yeâyes. Well thenâ â
I was in charge of the western country, âVillet.â Though not huge, it is a small country made out of exquisite islands.Â
The flowerâcrest symbolizing the country is âDianthus.â
The name of the knight isâ âOrpheus.â
His origin is unknown. As for the ageâŠhe is probably around 19 years old.Â
Violette: Unknown?
Asagi: Brought up as an orphan, I believe he has been traveling around various places as a minstrel.Â
Due to being selfâsufficient at a young age, he is sociable with a good sense of decorum.
Tsumabeni: A selfâmade I see, huhâŠguys like that seem to have promising qualities.Â
Asagi: âŠI wished that would be the case, but for now he still has an unreliable aspect which I am concerned with.
Tsumabeni: Haha, it is because your way of evaluation is quite strict.Â
Asagi: It was merely an objective judgement.Â
Ageha: However, I wonder if this kid Orpheus can put up with the things over here?
It will be great if he doesnât feel out of place for being surrounded by the privileged brats coming from good families.Â
Asagi: Do not worry about that. I am certain that his social skills are not to be considered ordinary.Â
A certainty would be visible on Asagiâs face as he declared those words with confidence.Â
Violette: (I believe I have nothing to worry about thenâŠ)
Uranami: âŠA helpless younger brother character with a misfortune upbringingâwhat a perfect hit right at AsagiâsanâŠ
Even I can't afford to take it lightly.Â
Asagi: âŠnghâŠ!
Uranami: Oops
Asagi: Only if they could hit rightâŠ!
Uranami: What the heck. If that would be cupidâs arrow, I could understand. But I have no interest in getting stabbed with spoons or forks.Â
Hubert: âŠBoth of you are behaving inappropriately here. Moreover, we are in the middle of an important conversation.
Uranami: Did you hear that? As for where we have left, letâs take our time to resume it later on...
Asagi: I refuse. As if I am willing to meddle with your nonsense any further!
As retaining back his calmness, Asagi takes his attention off of Uranami.Â
Hubert: âŠNow. As far as what I have heard from the report, they all appear to be full of characters.Â
You are looking forward to meeting them right, Princess?
Violette: Huâhuh? Oh yeahâŠ
I gave him a hesitant nod as my heart accelerated at the word, âmeeting.â
Of what I have been hearing about so far as if out of my concerns, suddenly starts feeling alive to me.Â
Violette: âŠI just hope I am capable.
Hubert: If itâs my princess, you will be just fine. I have high hopes for you.Â
âŠLetâs bring it to a close for today.Â
The reception meeting between the knights and Princess shall be scheduled on the night following three days, as planned.Â
Everyone please make sure to be well prepared by that day.Â
The meeting came to an end with everyoneâs nod.Â
âScene changes.Â
The face-to-face ceremony is to be held on the night following three days.Â
The arrival of the knights signifies Reine beginning to be fully active for her duties.Â
The feeling that âI have to do itâ battles against my anxiety of being unable to accomplish my tasks.
âŠStill I must carry it through till the very end.Â
Violette: The mission I am obliged to partake in is right here. I do not have to have any other reason.
These words bloomed as if to convince my own self.Â
Akane: Hey Princess, where are you atâ?
Ruri: I want you to tell us what happened at the dinner party!
Oh no, come to think about this. I made that promise with those kids.Â
Violette: I will be heading there now. I want you guys to wait for me a bit.Â
â âI cannot allow myself have too much of leisures.Â
Because the beginning is gradually approaching.Â
âViolette walks away.
The world once loved by the Gods, now has long been without their mercy.Â
Just except for one GoddessâÂ
Hubert: However, since the Goddess has entered into a deep slumber, what the world now clings onto are the fragile hands of her maiden.Â
âŠI wonder if the burden is a bit too heavy for my Princess.Â
But whether that is the case, I have to have her pull through what needs to be done.Â
Because unfortunately it has been all decided since the day she was born as a âReine.â
Now then, let us lift the curtain.
The hall has been tired waiting for her entrance after allâ â

Reine des FleursâPrologue I: The Princess of the Heavens and the Knights of the Earth (Part 1/2)
â[Part 2/2]
Now returning by the carriage along with the same path I walked.Â
This carriage set ready to depart at the very entrance of the cherry-blossom row is a result of Hubertâs over-protectiveness.
Violette: To Hubert, I must be a woman who has a long way to goâŠ
To me he is a parent, an older brother, a mentor and an irreplaceable person.Â
We flower-borns coming out from the flower crest, cannot possibly attain a blood-tied relationship the way seed-folks do reproducing biologically.Â
However, I believe despite that, Hubert and I share a very similar relationship.Â
Violette: This is why I cannot afford to keep being spoiled by him. Especially from now onâŠ
â Scene shifts.Â
I was greeted by someone unexpected as I stepped down the carriage.Â
???: Pleasant day to you. I wonder if you have taken care of your important tasks, Princess?
Violette: Madame EngeâŠthankfully, the Four Butterflies made their way back home.
Madame Enge: Glad to hear that. Has everyone been doing well?
Violette: FufuâŠto my great surprise, they havenât changed a bit. Make sure to go to see them later on.
Madame Enge: A sure thing
Always appearing gracious and smiling over here is Madame Enge. She bears the flower crest of the plum blossom.Â
Having been living in Pathedarme alongside Hubert for a while, he also places a great trust on her.Â
The salon she hosts contains a huge popularity, being invited there is regarded as a great honor.Â
Madame Enge: We still have some time before tonightâs dinner party, correct?
If okay by you, I have been waiting to have a nice chat with you, Princess.
Violette: Of course, itâs okay. Letâs head to my mansion to enjoy some tea and talk.
Madame Enge: Yeah. Letâs get goingâŠ
âScene shifts.
As we were heading to the castle while chatting leisurely, the clamor on our way made us yield.Â
???: Come on nowâ! I am telling you to cut it out because the Princess is gonna come back right away!!Â
Violette: That isâŠ
???: Uwaaaaaahâ!?
Violette: Wh-what theâŠ!?
Madame Enge: HeheâŠI wonder if the troublemakers are causing some commotion yet again.
Violette: âŠLetâs witness the scene ourselves.Â
While holding my head, I walk forward to the courtyard where the noise has been coming from.
âScene shifts.
???: UghâŠPrincess! Even lady EngeâŠ
Violette: RuriâŠwhere did you go? And what about Akane?
Ruru: UmmâŠwell you seeâŠ
Stumbling in his own words, Ruri keeps tossing his gaze toward a very specific corner.Â
Violette: âŠDid anything happen to my bedroom?
Ruri: So-something happenedâŠor rather, itâs more likeâŠI donât know what to do, reallyâŠ
Madame Enge: Oh heyâŠ
Ruri. I can see a leaf attached to your back. What kind of mischievous have you been up to?
Ruri: Eh ummâŠuuhâŠ
Madame Enge: It seems like now we ought to listen to their full story.Â
Violette: Ah yesâŠPlease Ruri, go ahead.Â
Ruri: AlrightâŠ
âScene changes.
Ruri: ActuallyâŠAkane became peevish and barricaded herself out inside Princessâs bedroomâŠ
The door was locked and no matter how much you would tell her to come out, she would notââ
So when I tried to go in utilizing the entrance from the veranda, I bumped myself into a glass marble and ended up falling.Â
Violette: âŠâŠ
He may have just thrown this casually, but my bedroom is on the second floor.
No matter how much you tell this kid how agile he is, he will still end up doing something so reckless.
Violette: How on the earth did you make such a decisionâŠ
Does it have to do anything with you two disappearing while I was reading?
Ruri: Oh wellâŠ
OriginallyâŠwe planned to depart together by the time you would go out butâŠ
Today was the day Sister Ageha and others were coming back, and Akane was very much looking forward to that.
According to Ruri who was concerned as he kept talkingââ
âFlashbackÂ
Akane: Very soon we will be able to meet everyone from the Four Butterflies. It will be so fun âĄâĄâĄ
Ruri: Mhm, it has been so long afterall âââ
Akane: Sister Ageha will be bringing delicious refreshments, those are Akaneâs absolute favorite âĄâĄâĄ
Ruri: I would love to hear their heroic sagas againâ What do you think they have been through this time?
Akane: And also, I will have uncle Tsumabeni to lift me up high and high!
Ruri: I hope this time his big hands pat me a whole lot
Wouldnât it be too much fun to play tag with Asagi chan too?
Akane: We are going to use the entire park to play. This time I wonât lose for sure âĄâĄâĄ
And as for Uranamiâ
Ruri: To be honestâŠit doesnât matter even if he doesnât come this year.
Akane: For realâŠ
Ruri: AhâŠbut if everyone is coming back, it means those guys are coming back too right?
Akane: Those guys?
Ruri: Princessâs knights
Akane: âŠOh come on
That bunch is irrelevant. The ones to belong by our Princess first and foremost are us.
The knights, we can just summon them when we would have no other choice but to âĄâĄâĄ
Ruri: Umm. I understand your feelings but I do not think it will work so smoothly like this.Â
Recall that Hubert-sama said the bond between the knight and Reine is inseparable, even if you try.Â
On top of thatâŠthere has been Reine who was married to the knight in the past.Â
Akane: ââHow awful, I will never let such a thing happen!Â
The Princess is solely to be with us! I wonât allow anyone to seize from our sides!!
Ruri: Well what we want is one thing, but Hubert samaââ
Akane: Why do you keep saying such mean things!?
How disturbing! I hate you so badly Ruriâ!!
âAkane sprints off.
Ruri: AâAkane!?
âFlashback ends.Â
Violette: âŠâŠ
Do not tell me the reason Hubert gave to me before is accurateâŠ
Madame Enge: Oh wow, how adorable. Princess is so well loved by them.
Itâs true I am happy, but I cannot let myself take this matter lightly.Â
Violette: Anyways, we have to get Akane out of the roomâŠ
Ruri: âŠAs assumed, do we not have any other choice but to break your door open?
Violette: Why make you run onto such reckless actions so easilyâŠ
Speaking of which, I will go and try to call her out directly.
âScene changes.
Violette: Akane, you are here right? I want you to open the door for me.
If I call out to the other side of the door, there is no response.
Ruri: Akane, it is no good to disappoint our Princess. Please say something!
Akane: Shut your nonsense, Ruri! Traitors donât have any say in this!Â
Violette: Ruri, my apologies. Would you be able to leave this to me?
Ruri: I got thisâŠ
Violette: Hey AkaneâŠdo you not want to talk to me anymore?
Akane: âŠI didnât mean to do so. I absolutely love you princess.
Violette: Then please open the door.Â
Akane: âŠâŠ
Violette: Akane?
Akane: If you say you will prioritize the two of us more than the Knights, I will open the door.Â
Violette: Well thatâsâŠ
Even though itâs Akaneâs request, I cannot let myself be imprudent by throwing these words.Â
Akane: âŠI knew that you were going to abandon us! Itâs already overâ!
Violette: P-please calm down.Â
Akane: Uwaaaaah! I super-duper love the Princess so, so, sooo much, and yet~âŠ!
Violette: (What should I doâŠshe is not willing to lend an ear.)
Then, a slender hand was placed upon my shoulder.Â
Madame Enge: For the time being, let us head over there. It seems best to leave her at the moment.Â
Violette: Youâre rightâŠ
Ruri: I am so sorry, Princess. I could not hang in thereâŠ
Violette: Not your fault. Please donât get so upset over it.
But what should we do about thisâŠwe wonât get to talk if things stay the same.Â
Madame Enge: To Akane, who has spent every single day being exclusively close to the princessâŠ
The knights from the ground coming over here is a sign of menace, donât you agree?
And I am sure Ruri shares similar feelings as well?
Ruri: âŠâŠ
Ruri quietly affirmed what Enge just said.Â
Violette: âŠI deeply value my presence with Akane and Ruri.Â
Even if the Knights come over here, that version of my feelings wonât change.Â
Madame Enge: I am very sure these two have no doubt of your compassion butâŠ
There are times where reasons arenât enough to be convinced. For example Akane right now.
Violette: Then how can I convince herâŠ
Madame Enge: A tangled yarn needs to be untangled delicatelyâŠ
But if you carelessly play with it, you will end up tangling it moreâŠ
What are the words which Akane truly needs to hear right now? We must figure it out first.
Violette: Even if you say soâŠ
Madame Enge: You donât have to figure it all out by yourself. Donât they say to rely on others when you are in trouble?
Luckily Ruriâ who is known as Akaneâs other half is here, and Iâ though my little may not be as helpful, is here too. Â
Before anything, I want you to hear us out.Â
âScreen appears to collect information.
â Akaneâs True FeelingsâEngeÂ
Madame Enge: Akane may be a problematic kid, but she is totally devoted to you, Princess.
This is why she would never intend to do things which would bring you huge trouble.Â
Violette: âŠYeah, I totally agree with you.Â
This is why I am taken by shock. It is my first time seeing Akane so stubborn.
Madame Enge: Everyone at times ends up saying things they do not mean while being trapped in strong emotions.Â
Akane right now is just unable to draw the emotional boundary, because she is too deep in to stop nowâŠâââ
Because she is stuck in a situation where she cannot back down even if she wants to, sheâs the one who is stuck the most here.Â
Violette: âŠIf thatâs the case even, we are completely out of options.Â
Madame Enge: That is not true. What about you giving her a chance she needs?
Even the smallest thing would work just fine. For exampleâŠinviting her with some delicious sweets.Â
Violette: (Would that be enoughâŠ)
(But if that could have Akane come outâŠthen it might be worth a try.)
â Akaneâs true feelingsâRuri
Ruri: Although Akane normally puts on a brave front, she always craves company.
If you happen to start valuing the knights more than two of us thenâŠâââ
Then we will end up thinking we are of no use to you.Â
Violette: But that is so ridiculousâŠ.
Both of you are irreplaceable, andâŠprecious ones to me.
Ruri: But we still end up stressing outâŠ
Because you and us have been together all alongâŠthere hasn't been anyone in our way so far.Â
Violette: RuriâŠ
(...Ruri also shares the same feelings as Akane)
(If thatâs the case, then what these children need right now is a sense of reliefâŠ)
â End of the Selections.
Violette: Thanks for speaking with me on this. I think I have a little better understanding of Akaneâs feelings.
âŠThatâs why let me try to get her to talk one more time.Â
Ruri: I am ready tooâŠ
Violette: You wait here for me with EngeâŠI will definitely bring her back with me.Â
Ruri: ButâŠ
Madame Enge: Donât worry, Ruri. Please have a chest-full of faith in our beloved Princess.
Ruri: âŠOf course.
Madame Enge: Princess
Violette: Yes?
Madame Enge: You are the Reine-to-be princessâholder of the very GrĂące abiding in this Parthedameâ
As confined of your GrĂące, we flower-borns are bound to revere your existence as something significantly sacred.Â
If I were to be symbolic, your words alone could lumber the souls of the Flower-bornsââ
Violette: âŠâŠ
Madame Enge: Let alone for Akane, your very own butterfly, the influence must be unfathomable.
Violette: YeahâŠI get what you mean.Â
A Reine, despite being conscious or not, her existence can stir the flow of GrĂące itself.
I remember how my lack of fluency during Hubert's instructions caused a lot of trouble for everybody.Â
There has been a time even whenâ the more my heart weavered, the more unstable my GrĂące becomes, dark nights would not disperse into mornings for days.Â
Naturally at this point, I do not create such blunders over such tiny mattersâŠbut still.Â
Madame Enge: Though it has been presumptuous from my side, I humbly ask for forgiveness.Â
The closer a heart can get to yours, the more vibrantly and beautifully the flower-borns will bloom.Â
The same applies for Akane, the butterflyâ
This is why I beg you to let your kindness sooth the scarcity in Akaneâs desperate heart.Â
Violette: I will. Thank you, Ange.Â
I am on my way to her now.
âScene changes out of her bedroom.Â
Returning in front of my room once again, I peek through the window to observe the atmosphere.Â
Violette: (I cannot hear Akaneâs voiceâŠis she crying yet again?)
Let me recall the conversations I had with them before.
In order to persuade Akaneââ
âInformation Selection:Â
âEnge: As Akane is already too deep to withdraw, providing her some kind of cueâŠ
âRuri: Akane is concerned that you would end up valuing the Knights more than us.Â
âSelection ends.Â
âŠIt will be fine, I will just communicate to her properly, to this precious child.Â
âViolette knocks on the door.Â
Violette: Akane, can you hear me over there?
âŠThereâs no reply, but I will keep persisting in calling her.Â
âViolette knocks on the door again.Â
Violette: Please, I want you to hear me out. I need to talk to you.Â
There is no one here aside from me. Itâs fine with the two of us, right?
Then finally a reply arrives from the other side of the door.Â
Akane: âŠNobody aside from you?
Violette: Yeah, on my word itâs only me here. So please, open the door.Â
Akane: âŠAlright.
âAkane opens the door.Â
Akane: Princess, are you mad at me
Violette: Not at all. I came here just to have a conversation with you.Â
Akane: A conversation
Violette: Yeah. In order to convey my feelingsâŠ
âBeginning the Ravir.
Violette: âŠAkane.
Akane: âŠuh.
Violette: Please donât be on your guard like this.Â
Just as I said before, I am not holding grudges against you.Â
Akane: ButâŠ
âŠI did so dirty by speaking those words towards youâŠ
Violette: (...Ruri mentioned this before.)
(Akane is afraid that our connection will get impacted by the arrival of the knights.)
Violette: Hey Akane, are you so stressed about the arrival of the knights?Â
Akane: âŠYeah I am.Â
Ruri said earlier that the Reine and the Knight are bound in an inseparable tieâŠ
Violette: âŠA tie that cannot be cut even if you try, right?
Certainly, thatâs true.Â
Both of you know my role is to serve as a Reine, right?
In order for me to bestow the GrĂące down the Earth, the presence of the knightsâ is essential.Â
This is why in that sense, it is the key to forge a strong relationship with them.Â
Akane: Iâ I knew itâŠ
Violette: âHowever, my butterflies are only you and Ruri.Â
Until now, and from here on too, that will not change ever.
Akane: âŠBut the time we will spend with you is likely to get reduced once they arriveâŠ
You will not pay attention to us anymore like these daysâŠ
Violette: (Akane does have a point here. Things may not stay the same as they have been.)
(How shall I proceed to respond)
âDonât say anything.
Akane: Princess
Violette: (Oh no, I cannot let myself just ignite her worries more.)
âć°ă(Show distress.)Â
Violette: (Well once the knights arrive, we will not be able to be glued to each other all day longâŠ)
(I have to stick with the reality which cannot be changed. I have to admit to what it isâ)
âé ·ă(Nod.)
Violette: Certainly. Like before we will not be able to play all day long.Â
As a Reine, I must prioritize my obligations first and foremost.
Akane: UunghâŠ
Violette: But even so, it doesnât mean I will stop needing you and Ruri.Â
Until now, it has always been you and him to support me all the way.Â
Akane: PrincessâŠ
Violette: You see Akane. Do not assume that I do not have anxieties too.
But as long as you two, my beloved ones are cheerful beside me, I will be able to do my best in my tasks too.
Akane: âŠWe will be able to serve in your tasks? Even from now on?
Violette: Yes of course. Or else I would feel lonely if you donât keep being with me.
Did that make sense?
Akane: âŠPrincess, I know you would never lie to me. I know that in my gutâŠ
But stillâŠ
Violette: âŠâŠ
(...Letâs come to see what Enge suggested earlier.)
(Akane is lost in her own emotions and she is too buried to pull herself back up.)
(I have to offer her some kind of cue or elseâŠ)
Violette: âŠHey Akane. Enge and Ruri are waiting for us to join them as they arrange tea.
Adding some delicious sweets to it, how about having a tea party with us together?
Akane: Sweets
Buâbut I cannot have them. I did a very bad thing earlier on.
I am very sure Ruri will make me hear words too. This is why I canât bring myself to face themâŠ
Violette: I will be there to protect you, no worries. Additionally, Ruri has been worried about you too.Â
Ruri: ButâŠ
Violette: (She is still seemingly hesitant. How can I buy her consent)
âæČăă (Be sad.)
Violette: âŠâŠ
Akane: Uh Princess
Violette: (It is not good. I will get her more anxious if I show her I am sorry out of nowhere.)
Violette: (â Shall I try being pouty if this way fails in convincing her?)
âæăă (Get sulky.)
Violette: Akane, would you not want to have tea with me?
Akane: Yoâyou are wrong! I love having tea with you above anything else!Â
Violette: âŠYou sure?
Akane: Yeah! I would never lie to you, Princess!Â
Violette: Very well, then shall we go there together?
Akane: UhâŠ
Violette: Is it a no?
Akane: âŠUnderstood. Even Sister Agena said that, âWomen have to have gutsâ!
Violette: Thank you, Akane.
Letâs get going right away. They are waiting for us after all.Â
Akane: Pl-please wait for meâŠ!Â
Violette: Whatâs up?
Akane: âŠâŠ
Violette: Akane
Akane: âŠsoâŠ
Violette: Huh?
Akane: I am so sorry, PrincessâŠ
âYou lose the game.
Violette: AkaneâŠ
Akane: I am so, so, so very sorryâŠI beg your forgivenessâŠ!
âYou win the game.
Violette: (Oh AkaneâŠ)
Akane: PhewâŠ! I donât like being poked on my cheekâŠ!
Violette: HeheâŠ
You surely are a troublesome kid. Make sure to properly apologize to Ruri later, okay?
Akane: I surely willâŠ
HeheheâŠyou are indeed Akane and Ruri's Princess.âĄâĄâĄ
Violette: Indeed. This is why please be rest assured.
I started translating Ayato's route in May 2019, which is (almost) exactly 6 years ago, and I wanted to celebrate by re-translating the story a bit. My translations, my writings, and my language skills have greatly increased in the past years, and I wanted to thank everyone for supporting me for such a long time, and this is my thanks!
From the southern land of CampanuleâUranami, butterfly of the bellflower.
From the eastern land of ChrysanthĂšmeâTsumabeni, butterfly of chrysanthemums.
From the western land of OuĂŻeâAsagi, butterfly of the pink dianthus.
Violette: Come forth: The Four Butterflies!Â
As their long-missed faces descended through the beam, I felt my shoulders lightened.Â
It seems that the path reconnected to the landâ after two yearsâ has safely brought them back in here.
Violette: Welcome homeâŠeach of you.Â
At the cue of my voice, they take their time to step up to me.Â
Ageha: First of the Four ButterfliesâAgeha, of the northern crimson peony. I have returned.
How have you been, princess? You have gotten even more elegant.Â
Violette: Thank you. I have been doing fairly well, Ageha.Â
Uranami: Of the Four ButterfliesâUranami, southern butterfly of the bellflower. I, too, have returned.
Phew, the past two years have felt unexpectedly long! I am extremely glad to be back.
Violette: You are unchanged as ever. I am sorry for all that you have been through, Uranami.Â
Tsumabeni: Of the Four ButterfliesâEast, Tsumabeni of the chrysanthemum. I have returned.
Itâs been a while, Princess. You have really taken on the air like a true Reine.Â
Violette: Truly? Hearing this from you has put me at ease, Tsumabeni.Â
Asagi: Of the Four ButterfliesâWest, Asagi of the dianthus. I have returned from so-called lands.Â
It has been a while, princess. I am extremely glad to have us reunite again.Â
Violette: Me too, Asagi. I wanted us to meet again too.Â
There are a lot of things to talk about. I want to hear from everybody as well.
Seeing them fourâs familiar smiles have made me so happy, my cheeks couldnât help but stay unclenched.Â
When a hand dropped suddenly onto my shoulder, my expression shifted in an instant.Â
Hubert: Itâs good to see everyone remaining the same as ever. Our princess has done well too. Truly praiseworthy.Â
Violette: HubertâŠ
As if to slow down my excitement, he gently patted my headâ and I got embarrassed of myself for getting too carried away.Â
I shall always be calm and composedâŠthat is the expectation set for a Reine.Â
Hubert: Undoubtedly there are many discussions to catch up on, but let me hear your reports first.Â
Hubert: I will set another time aside to just speak with them. Would that suffice, Princess?
Violette: Yeah
Uranami: Oh boyâ the chancellor's rigidness again, right in the moment I was finally being cloaked by the Princesses warm smileâŠ
Asagi: Donât poke fun at her, Uranami! Isnât that being disrespectful towards the princess.Â
Uranami: Oops. Of course I am solemnly loyal to you, Asagi-San. There hasnât been a single day in the last two years to pass by without you in my mind.Â
Asagi: ...If you donât want a punch damned into your pretty-boy face, then shut up. Right now, Uranami.
Uranami: You are such a shy guy. Even that little unsettling side of you holds some charisma too.
Asagi: You bastardâŠ!Â
Ageha: Alright alrightâ letâs leave it at that for now.Â
Donât get worked up on his words every single time, Asagi. He is always talking nonsense, isnât he?
Asagi: âŠPlease excuse me.Â
Uranami: But my words havenât been trivial, you knowâŠ
Tsumabeni: Let it go, Uranami. One should know when to exit.Â
Uranami: âŠAlrighty.Â
Hubert: I wonder if we are done loitering around. If so, let us move elsewhere to begin our main conversation.Â
I am sorry, Princess. But I would like you to go back to the mansion until we wrap up our business here.Â
In the evening, there is a dinner party for us to have together. Lord Bonheur was quite enthusiastic about it, so please keep your expectations up as well.Â
Violette: UnderstoodâŠI shall see you later.Â
Despite feeling reluctant attachment, I quietly took off from that place.Â
To the land forsaken by the gods, the only one to extend a hand,
was a single goddessâ
Her name was Goddess of Loveâ Milene.Â
She was a still-young deity, born of the divine love of the other Gods once overflowed in Solvielle, and the prayers of the Seedfolk beings.
Ached by the disastrous state of Solvielle, whom she considered a parent,
she poured all her power into the world without holding back.Â
However, her power alone will not suffice to heal the broken landâ
Similarly, the four seed-folks who share the identical pain with the Goddess have stepped forward to become her backbones, in order to underlay her.Â
This is the beginning of the tale that would be known as, âThe Knights of the Flower Crown.â

Hi , is that okay if i request you to translate Amnesia boys messages for Amnesia 10th year anniversary.
Amnesia 10th Anniversaryâ Characters' Messages to the MC
âł Ikki
When I was manipulated by God's mischief, you were the only one who was there for me.
To be honest, I wanted to look cool but at the same time I showed a lot of pathetic sidesâŠ
Unbelievable enough but you stayed by my side regardless of these. You kept smiling next to me.
Iâm all filled just by receiving your smiling face, not only now but it keeps me happy every single day.
Thank you for supporting someone like me. I wonât let go of you forever, so better be ready for that, okay?
âł Shin
I thought I was finally able to step back from the relationship as a childhood friend but, I was panicked knowing that you lost your memories.
However, it made me so happy to see...you trusted and chose me despite that.
I fell in love with you because...youâre a person, a person who always strives by thinking straight ahead.
Thanks for choosing me. Iâll bring you the utmost happiness, so letâs be together for all the way.
âł Ukyo
Since after that single spring day Iâd met you, I couldnât help myself but to fall in love and to pass by you countless days.
And still today, I think that for you being next to me is a dream or not. However, you have reached to convince me that itâs reality.
Thank you for staying with someone like me.
As long as I can feel the warmth of your hands, Iâll do my best to make you happy.
Itâs because the root of my spirit is you. And donât forget that.
âł Kent
After spending a few moments peacefully with you, whoâve always been lost in arguments, for the first time Iâve come to know that falling in love is something which cannot be abandoned.
Itâs not the restricted desire but itâs me myself whoâs craving for you at the moment of impulses.
I want to hear your voice, I want to stay by you, I want to watch your happy face.
I never imagined, not even in a dream that someone as obstinate as me will ever hold on to such feelings.
I look forward to it everyday, as I always discover something new wherever you are with me.
Iâm really thankful for that. I wonder if youâll agree to walk by my side from here on.
âł Toma
There was a time when I was fine being hated by you if that means it will keep you safe.
Nevertheless, you chose me and stayed by my side as a matter of course.
Such a matter of course with lots of happiness you know.
Still today, my determination to protect you hasn't changed at all but I have decided to protect you...in a way you want, which keeps you happy.
Itâs me whoâs so reliant on you, but Iâll protect you with all of my body and soul, so always keep smiling by my side.
