Additional information: State lawmakers have been gunning for Pearson and Jones nearly their entire terms. Most notably, in 2023, the House expelled them for participating in a protest at the Capitol. Their districts had to have special elections to have them reinstated.

Pearson is one of the plaintiffs of a lawsuit seeking an injunction against the redistricting.

House Speaker Cameron Sexton has removed every member of the House Democratic Caucus from committees after after the protest! The lieutenant governor says he is looking for more ways to punish them.

Representative Justin Pearson adds, “Speaker of the TN House Cameron Sexton just removed me and every Democrat — and therefore every Black elected official in the state legislature from any committee we served on,” Pearson wrote on social media. “This move strips nearly 2 million Tennesseans from the representation they deserve in TN state leg.”

A family tree I put together of all the confirmed members of the Tribe of Ancients from Super Paper Mario, as well as the Tribe of Darkness, which split off at some point in the past. Most of this is explicitly confirmed in-game, with the only true inferences being regarding the Tribe of Darkness.

I put it here that the Tribe of Darkness was founded by the man who defeated the Pixl Queen and is said to have hidden the Dark Prognosticus. The Tribe of Darkness is similarly said to have hidden the book and in the present it is generally considered hidden by "someone".

So!! As we may already know, Mimi shape-shifts and turns into a spider, but a lesser-known fact about her is that she doesn’t have much of a backstory. Carson at the Overthere Bar on Flopside would tell plenty of stories and gossip about Count Bleck and his minions, but Mimi has only a couple of rumors…and that's about it. It was said that she was either a Pixl experiment or a witch's accident, but Carson touched some more on the ladder, saying that the witch was messing around with potions to figure out shape-shifting. He then requested Mario if he ever sees her to go ask her for him. At first I thought he meant Mimi, but apparently in the Japanese version, he meant the witch, which WOULD imply that Mario would get to meet her, or have met her already but never got to ask because she was probably dead…

Yes, her. Cackletta. This dead woman is who I’m talking about. I've noticed that whenever she shape-shifted, purple smoke would float around her, and it's the same thing that happens when Mimi shape-shifts…

Strangely though, it's almost the same purple/fuchsia color, though it looks like it depends on the lighting. It's also worth noting that Mimi has gears inside her head which can be seen both in her official artwork and when Mario flips during battle. This of course means she is either a robot or a cyborg, but I’m thinking more on the ladder because Mimi’s speech bubbles aren’t “robotic”, unlike Tiptron for example, and Fawful has made quite a bit of machinery for Cackletta and her plans. Even though Mimi was allegedly created by a witch, some things may have been done on her, perhaps either to keep her alive or to enhance her abilities. It wouldn’t make sense for Mimi to automatically have gears once she “comes to life”, y’know? And (this is probably not worth mentioning but will anyway), both Prince Peasley and Mimi share the similar color palette. It seems like they also share some interests with money, with Peasley being proud of his economy and Mimi literally "building" one during Chapter 2. They also seem to care about how they look too, though it all could just be a coincidence.
