An in-progress etching of mine. I'm going to aquatint the backdrop and bring out some highlghts, then chine colle or paint in the sunburn on the main figure. Also, some photos of drawings from my last two figure sessions. Hopefully I'll get the change to use some of the poses in prints soon. Once I get back from NYC i'm really going to buckle down on the sunburn figure series. 

I shipped off my little linocut for the Atlanta Printmakers' Opposites Attract Print Exchange! It's fun to change it up every once in awhile. 

It's cold outside, but inside it's warm and cozy. Just got the keys to my new senior studio space and prepped some plates. Exhibition December 2014 here we go!

Time really does fly! It was just a year ago that I was finishing up this pretty intense drawing class at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Consider this a throwback if you will. 

First state of my electro etched plate! I am loving the amount of variation and detail you can get in the lines. It makes me want to do more detailed etchings.

Etched through the copper to create this shaped plate for my Madonna exchange etching. Now, to do a light sugar lift and print!

Hanging out and doing some electro etching on a Friday night. So lucky to have a professor that is so knowledgeable about such a revolutionary process, and lets me use his set up after hours. 

Drawing I did in the past couple days, hoping to turn it into a litho or maybe an etching, not sure. I love the line quality so litho might be best

Learned how to work a Vandercook Letterpress today and printed some samples. Very excited to make my own plate next week and have something of my own!

My edition for the Sketchbook Project exchange goes off to New York today! Excited to finally have this done.
