Fiona was sat with her notebook in front of her, pink pen in her left hand as she leaned her face into her right. Having spaced off for a moment, she didn’t even realize she was staring off into Katie’s direction. “Sorry,” she apologizes sheepishly. “I wasn’t staring at you. Just in your direction” she clarifies after a moment.

         a  small  laugh  emerged  from  her  lips  when  the  brunette  apologised  (  for  something  as  innocent  as  staring  )  .  ‘  no        i  should  be  the  one  apologising  ,  ’  she paused  .  ‘  i  guess  the  lack  of  sleep  &  the  way  too  much  caffeine  is  making  me  paranoid  .  ’  there  was  no  lie  in  that  .  she  had  consumed  her  weight  in  caffeine  the  last  two  days  and  had  barely  slept  one  or  two  hours  a  night  .  so  much  for  an  aspiring  athlete  .  ‘  i’m  sorry  .  ’

“Take a chill pill, Matlin.” Bianca rolled her eyes, “Did someone piss in your cereal this morning or something? like geez.” She throws a pen down on the table, it rolling till it finally stops on it’s own, “You dropped this, but excuse me for trying to be nice.”

        ‘  wouldn’t  that  be  your  forte  ,  pills  ?  ’  katie  took  the  pen  from  the  table  ,  putting  it  in  her  bag  .  although  the  two  of  them  hardly  had  any  interaction  before  ,  katie  just  didn’t  like  bianca  after  hearing  all  the  rumours  that  her  name  carried  .  and she  knew  better  than  to  stay  away  from  her  ,  after  all  she  had  a  squeaky  clean  reputation  to  uphold  herself  .  ‘  no  ,  it’s  just  your  doom  &  gloom  that  is  clouding  my  day  ,  that’s  all  .  ’

“i wasn’t staring.” he quickly responded, although it did seem that way with how long it took him to talk. it had only been a few minutes and he already managed to get on the wrong side of katie matlin. this must have been a new record. “i was going to suggest we switch assignments.”
