With all the smut in all the routes Iâm surprised MC isnât pregnant. Maybe like a herb remedy that might deter her from hurting every month. (Iâm Chinese, my mother makes me drink this black root soup that prevents cramps.) Thereâs no contraception in that time so my mind went there.
Especially Kenshin (I have others in mind as well, might post seperately.). Like, we all know the bunny lord would have no qualms with âbreedingâ all year long. đ
MC starts noticing the changes in her body first, but makes nothing of it. Must be doing too much manual labor and shouldnât I be having my period soon?
Morning sickness has gotten Kenshinâs attention first when she shot out of bed one morning. He gets even more worried as soon as he finds her hurling in a bucket.
âCall for the doctor. NOW.â He practically yells as a vassal. You can see the vassal stumble out of the estate in a hurry.
Kenshin locks her in their room until a doctor comes.
MC can feel the distress radiating off of Kenshin as he sits and stares at her.
âIâm alrightâŚitâs probably just a bug. Itâll pass.â
âFuture dialect for a sickness. Itâs not a big deal my timeâŚgoes away after two or three days.â
Kenshin wonât have it. She will have to get looked at.
âCongratulations, youâre pregnant.â
Is something she doesnât expect.
Kenshin is silent and frozen staring into space.
âKenshin?â He didnât answer, but she can see heâs still processing it.
Happy but unsure and uncertain of the news she just goes about her business for a few days. MC takes those days to think as well.
Kenshin has token to follow her every step and hasnât spoken at all. Heâs still processing but he didnât seem to disapprove of the situation they found themselves in.
One morning MC found Kenshin talking to Sasuke about a serious matter and as soon as they notice her Kenshin just hurries towards her.
Kenshin hands seem to always be trying to steady her now a days.
Sasuke gives her a knowing happy smile.
Endearing as Kenshin has been acting, they needed to talk.
âThis silence is killing me, Kenshin. Can we please talk about this?â
MC can see how conflicted he seemed on the whole matter and she was a bit stressed as well with his lack of response to everything.
âYes. Iâm sorry I havenât beenâŚI just donât know what to think.â Kenshin buried his face into his hands, he didnât move from his spot. MC shifted over to him and wrapped her arms around him. He was too tense to respond. âDo you want a child?â
âWhat?â The question through him off. âWhat do you mean? Youâre already with a child.â OhâŚright, future thinking again. He looked a bit offended for a second. âOh, no no, I didnât mean for it to sound like that. In my time, parents have control over if they want to have a child or not. Especially if it puts the mother in danger, but I wonât go into details about that.â
Kenshin looked astonished for a second before filing that information away and MC can feel him lean in to her. âI donât know what to feel, thereâs too many of them right now.â
âSo, whatâs the feeling that stands out the most?â She prompted him, nuzzling into his shoulder. âHappiness and fear.â
MC smiled as she nuzzled him even more. âI feel the same.â Kenshin seemed to slump against her, all the built up tension of the past few days leaving him.
Following that day, MC was wrapped in blanketsâŚlots of blanketsâŚand locked in the room.
âKenshin Iâll be fine.â
âWhat if you cut yourself?â
The next few months were MC trying to convince Kenshin that itâs okay for her to do mundane tasks, but nothing could convince his anxious and paranoid mind.
She snoops around anyway.
The castleâs staff have heartattacks everytime they spot her.
You can see them in tears begging her to go back to her room before Kenshin has their head.
Sasuke had token a bit of pitty on her and showed her a few passage ways.
Kenshin was furious when he found out about her snooping and threatened to lock her in a dungeon.
It was settled on her having escorts everywhere but sheâs not allowed to leave the castle grounds.
Sasuke was tasked with watching her as punishment for showing her those passage ways.
As the months go by and she starts showing, Kenshin starts losing sleep, he would wake up with nightmares of losing MC.
âItâs okay, KenshinâŚIâm right here.â
Heâll wake up in a cold sweat before being calmed down by MC. Heâll cling to MC for the rest of the night.
He has literally considered sending her back to the future to have their child. If there are complications or any signs of it Sasuke is prepared to send her back.
When MC goes into labor, Kenshin just paces everywhere.
Every scream or cry of pain MC emmits he has to be restrained from throwing himself in the room and do anything to take the pain away.
Kenshin just crumbles to the floor after Sasuke tells him that his presence in the room would put MC and the baby in more danger. He just on the floor mumbing about how he has done this to her when hours has past and all he can hear are painful cries.
When she grows quite and he hears different cries, he scrambles up to throw open the door and he almost collapses from the sight of MC covered in blood and exhausted.
But smiling at the bundle in her arms.
He sprints to her side and hugs her to him. Pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
âIâm fine, KenshinâŚIâm fineâŚjust tired, but fine.â
He gets dragged out again to go scrub down before he finally gets to spend time with her. She also gets cleaned up.
When he finally has calmed down MC hands him the newborn.
So scared but staring at their child in awe when the child settles in his arms.
Error Kenshin.exe has stopped working.
Cute. Too cute. Must. Protect.
Has MCâs noseâŚshape of her eyesâŚlook at how much of MC is in our childâŚAll he can think about is how much he sees MC in their child.
MC just watches him as the baby grabs his finger and clutches it.
âYou knowâŚskin-to-skin contact strengthens parental bond with a childâŚâ
He immediately shoves his kimono off his shoulders and holds the child against his bare chest.
Error MC.exe had stopped working.
