If you haven’t figured it out by now, Omegaverse is one of my favorite genres. There’s so much room for different, unique takes and worlds, and it’s just so fun to read.

This is just a very small list of books I love that I think you’ll love, too.

Since everyone (no one) asked, here are a bunch of monster romances I love! I really had to restrain myself here and only do a handful, but I’m pretty pleased with the list.

Book Review (ARC):

Grave Errors by CJ North

(available now)

The moral of the story is this: it's all the healthcare system's fault.

Willow is my hero. She's so tough, because she's had to be, but there's so much more to her than just what she's been through. She cares, and that makes her great. I love that she's an ethical hacker, like, yes girl, make the world a better place one insurance company at a time.

Ezra and Ryker just about broke my heart with their backstories. I was already invested in them, and then they tell Willow why they're involved in the stuff they are, and it's just unfortunate.

I felt like the internal struggle the three of them were having about a relationship and the potential struggles with it were so interesting. It felt realistic, like, sure, they're kind of rushing into relationship territory and whatnot, but let that go and you're left with three vulnerable people just wanting to be loved, who are scared they're going to mess something up.

The different kinds of bonding both guys did with Willow just warmed my heart; it was so sweet. Even when they're trying to not fall for her, how can they help it?

I might have gotten a little too deep with this one, but I have a lot of feelings about it, okay?

Book Review (ARC):

Welcome to Seaman’s Cove by Thea Masen and Clover Halloway

(available May 21, 2026)

I was hooked from the very beginning.

Oh my gosh, I adore Madison. I love the vibe of "yeah I want to kiss him and yeah he's kind of in charge here but he can't tell me what to do."

Watching the pack come together is incredibly satisfying.

Phoenix is the funniest person any of them will ever meet, I swear. Caspian is just so genuinely sweet and kind. And Hunter is just fooling himself, all the way until he finally gives in to what both he and Madison want (and need).

The adventure and mystery is so much fun. It's like a mix of Atlantis and Nancy Drew, on top of all the mermaid stuff. I was so tense during a handful of scenes. Like, I know they're going to be okay, but are they? The entire story of searching for the hidden city, Madison's family drama, and what the heck is going on with Caspian's family is just fascinating. I could not and did not put this book down.

I knew this book would end on a cliffhanger, but man, what a cliff to be left on. I'm so desperate for part two.

Book Review (ARC):

Creature From The Monster Smash Book Bash by Dakota Cockaday

This is more than just a meet cute. This is a meet adorable (sure, that was kind of cheesy, but this book is the most wonderful kind of cheesy, so trust me, it works).

Elizabeth is so sweet. She's immediately accepting of what she thinks are just Malcom's super duper weird quirks, and she's ready to be with him just as the freak she thinks he is (affectionately). Okay, so there's a slight hiccup along the way, but she's still very gentle and caring.

Malcom is also kind and considerate, even if he gets a bit mixed up in his messaging.

Of course, Milton is the main hero of this story. Maybe he's the main hero of another story, too, but that's his business.

With this being the second book in the Creatureverse series, it continues with one of the most interesting Omegaverses I've ever read. The drama of the military experiment aspect is still impressive. I'm really excited to read more in the future.

Creatures On A Half Shell by Dakota Cockaday

There is a notable lack of pizza in this book, but it's made up for with plenty of sausage. Breakfast sausage. What were you thinking?

I enjoyed the varying levels of “in” from everyone. We have a range of “love at first sight even if maybe she didn’t see me” to “I’m going to do literally everything I can to not have feelings and there’s no way that can go wrong.”

Mari's life sounds, frankly, exhausting. The guys want to take on all that burden, but Mari is too independent to let them. And honestly? I love that. I really like that they don't just "fix" her entire life. Anson, Samuel, Beau, and Damien are more than welcome (eventually) to make themselves a part of her life, but they don’t bully their way in.

The entire plot is so exciting, start to finish. The science experiment background, the real-world tie-ins, the dog walking (seriously, Misty is Best Girl). There is always something happening.

Book Review (ARC):

The Garden of Forgotten Things (Jasper Lake series 2) by Maeve Garner

Maeve Garner has me in a trance with the Jasper Lake series, and I don't think I want to get away.

I was so hurt for Regina; she had so much to deal with and it seemed like everything was completely out of her control. Her family made me so mad, and Benson flat out infuriated me. Knox was really the best match for her, with the way he swooped in and lifted her up. They have so much chemistry, it's no wonder they fell as fast and hard as they did.

There's just enough miscommunication, mistruths, and secrets to keep the plot interesting. It's very well balanced.

I am so delighted we get a deeper look into Gloria and her tragic story. I adore her.

This book ends on the steepest of cliffhangers. I’m incredibly invested in this house’s history, and I want desperately to solve the mystery.

Knot Letting Go by Thea Masen and Clover Holloway

Gold medal for this book.

I loved everything about this. Seeing the highs and lows of not only being an Olympic level athlete, but also navigating new relationships among existing relationships, was riveting. Speaking of, I really like the relationships and dynamics between each character. Everyone is accepted just the way they are. It creates a beautiful network of people caring for each other.

There's enough drama in this story to keep you on your toes, but not so much that it makes everything sad. Even when the characters are thinking about the past and the way Raven was treated in high school, it's not too bogged down by the former bully aspect, and I appreciate that.

I have to be honest, before reading this book, I really didn’t care much for curling (skating? Absolutely). But Thea Masen and Clover Holloway put so much heart and purpose into describing the game and the player’s inner thoughts and feelings that I couldn’t help but get into it.

Knot What You Expected by Holly Monroe

Can your grief turn into high television ratings? Experts say yes.

I loved the drama, because what do you mean Araiana has been lied to for 10 years by the men she thought were just one man. What do you mean she fell in love with someone that doesn't exist, but actually he does, just differently? There's an incredible amount of tension between all of the characters, not just the pack. Every time the show hosts showed up, I was so excited to see what kind of torture they came up with for Ariana.

Oh my gosh, the emotions in this book! I didn't even bother with a cry counter, I just let the tears flow. My heart ached for Ariana; she was hurting so badly with all the surprises that kept popping up. The groveling? Top tier. Well done.

The pack is made up of people who are just perfect for each other. Their personalities don't clash, they harmonize. I adore every member of the pack, and every moment they spend together (even the not so great ones).

Vanguard by Karina Halle

Turns out, I love a dirty superhero. Who would have guessed (besides literally everyone)?

I think Vanguard and Mia are perfect for each other, even with all the, um, obstacles. They're both kind of crazy, gorgeous, and so smart. My heart broke for both of them several times over the course of the book, and I want nothing but happiness for them...eventually.

The world Karina Halle has created was so vivid in my mind the whole time I was reading. It's an interesting look at what could be a very true reality. It's really an excellent post-dystopian romance, and I appreciated the way everything was introduced to us; it just felt very natural.

I was so excited to find the connection to one of my all time favorite books (also by Halle, obviously). I'm really looking forward to seeing if we get to explore that more in the next book. I'm so ready for the second half, by the way. The cliffhanger is killer.

Book Review:

Jinxed by Torri Heat

(available now)

The first time I read this book, I offered to sell my soul to Torri in exchange for more time with these characters. I don't regret that one single bit. I'm still head over heels for this entire little family.

The men in this story are so beautifully tragic. Scarlett, Theo, Felix, and Luther make a fantastic group, even though it took ages for the guys to figure out how to even exist with each other.

The tension that builds, then breaks, then builds all over again is captivating; it makes it hard to put the book down (but why would you want to?)

There's a really good mystery about the house, and what could have possibly happened to curse them all to be trapped inside. Only, it's not really a mystery for someone inside.

Once again, near the end of the book I had to remind myself that it is, in fact, a romance, and everything will be okay, we're just all going to go through it for a little while. It really helped that I'd read this before; I know the first time I read it, I was crying and saying, "Torri, you promised me it was a romance," which is actually not the only time I've said that while reading one of her books.

I'm so absolutely crazy about this book.

Book Review (ARC):

The Evidence of Us by Genna Black

(available February 24, 2026)

Genna Black is a romcom genius, and this book is the proof.

Lila and Theo (and honestly, the rest of our cast of characters) are so genuinely funny. Even among the twists and turns of the mystery, and the deep cuts of grief, there’s plenty of humor. There’s a lightheartedness that blends well with the heaviness of the mystery.

And what a good mystery it is. The tension steadily increases through the entirety of the book, finally breaking with a satisfying conclusion…which is also how I’d describe the Theo and Lila situation, too.

There’s so much yearning! Oh, the way this man yearns for Lila. And I truly adore the way Lila hides behind her oh-so-convincing disdain for Theo. They’re both so stubborn.

I loved it.

Book Review:

Sunk by Torri Heat

(available now)

This is one of the most devastating books I've ever read, and I just keep going back to it.

I love everything about this book. The plot is so entrancing. There's a vibe of a mystery about it, with each character having their own secrets, some definitely more life altering than others. Every moment spent on the Siren is tense and heavy. Even on a re-read, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, just expecting it (just kidding, I'm never prepared for it).

Lucy is, all flaws aside, a fantastic protagonist. She's driven, smart, and doesn't tolerate disrespect from men (...kind of). Tucker is just a sweet little guy, simpering after his love interests, and it's so good. Jack obviously hates being vulnerable, but how can he resist them? And Nathan is just the shy, soft person to glue everyone together. Everyone in this relationship is vital to their happiness. You hear me, Torri? They're all vital.

Lest you forget, this is a romantic tragedy. Oh, you did forget? Torri will remind you, and you'll never forget again. Don't worry, you'll read it, and love it, and thank her for it. I think about this book more than any sane person should.
