This weekend was our first tease of spring for the year, warm enough that I was determined to spend as much of it outside as possible. So I made Hannah and I a brunch reservation and figured we could go lay out at the park and read after. Hannah stepped out of the shower, and when I handed her her usual pull up, she started pleading to switch to her regular underwear just for the day, eyeing her favorite dress.

"Sorry love," I chuckled, "Rules are rules. You'll get back to your big girl privileges when you've earned them."

I gave her a ten-minute warning to be ready, but time ticked past and she was still rifling through her wardrobe, fretting over dress lengths. My patience wore thin; being in pull ups is about learning responsibility, after all. So I put my foot down. "Enough, Hannah. You're making us late and I'm not having it. I already gave you a warning."

Walking over to her wardrobe, I continued "You're clearly struggling to pick out your outfit so I'm going to do it for you." I moved back towards her with my chosen set - a pair of snug pink shorts and a matching tank top with little rainbows on it. Her eyes went wide. "That's for little kids," she protested, her voice laced with embarrassment. Without a word, I grabbed another pull up and put it on the bed with the rest of her new outfit. "Argue and I'll add more. I don't care if you spend the day waddling around in 10 of them." She fell quiet, letting me help her into the second pull up followed by the rest of the childish outfit.

As we were heading out I looked at her, she looked adorable but the extra padding was evident. We walked over to the car and I steered her to the back seat, fastening her seatbelt for her. "Little girls sit in the back," I teased gently, and she pouted, the bulge of her pull ups clear as day.

When I told daddy what happened, he said I had to keep my wet panties on under a goodnite for the rest of the evening to remind me that I’m just a baby who can’t keep her panties dry…needless to say, I was feeling extra little and blushy by the end of the night when I tearfully begged daddy to let me change out of my soggy pull-up and icky, soaked panties and into a comfy, dry diaper for bedtime 🙈

Had an accident in bed so now I have to stand in the corner double diapered in my soaked Goodnite and wet Tena 😭 hate timeouts 😞

Don’t give me that look. We’re going to slip this on over that goodnite, then you’re going to the corner for your 23 minute timeout. Just like when you were a kid, timeout is always 1 minute for every year you’ve lived.

After your done in timeout, you will strip your bed and get it in the wash, then scrub your mattress. When your sheets are done on the washer, you will hang them on the clothesline in the front yard. Then you will come back to me and I will change you out of your Goodnite and Diaper and put you in a fresh diaper for nap time.

Yes, I said nap time. From now on you will take 1 hour naps at 10 and 2 every day. Until we find a way to get you restful sleep at night, you’ll need extra sleep during the day.

If you keep your naptime diaper dry, then you will be allowed panties in between naps. But anytime you sleep, it will be in a diaper. Now, get that nose in the corner.

No, you may not have any pants, the diaper needs to be in plain view at all times. If you earn panties, then you will be allowed to cover them up with a skirt or pants.

Bb: "Oh my gosh, why is the bathroom locked? Can you hurry up? I don’t know if I can hold it!"

Daddy: "That’s why you’ve got your diaper, sweetie. If you can’t wait a minute, your diaper will keep your dress dry. No worries!"

As soon as she walked through the door, the small talk started. No matter how hard she fought to politely make it across the house to the bathroom, there was always another family member there with every step. 30 minutes after arriving home, the inevitable happened, she lost control and wet herself, as pee drenched her pants, tears streamed down her cheeks from embarrassment.

Hannah’s dad quickly led her to her room to change. Since Hannah has always had a small bladder, she was already in a pull-up, but the house rules are clear. If you wet your pants, you’re in diapers until you keep them dry for 2 weeks.

When her dad reached into her bottom drawer and handed her a diaper, she was shocked that she still had to face that rule. But when the other part of the rule was enforced, the humiliation entered an entirely new dimension. She can either spend the next week without anything covering her diaper and be spanked right now for refusing to clean up after herself, or she can carry her soaked pull-up out to the outside trash can with her pants around her knees and her diaper on display.

As soon as she shuffles out of her room, the teasing from her cousins starts. For the next week, she will be constantly humiliated for her accident and her diapers. Several times she will be forced to repeat the walk of shame as various cousins ensure the bathroom is in use when she needs it and take so long that she wets her diaper leading to another walk to the outside trash can with a soaked diaper in her hands and her clean diaper on display.
