ISLA: like, i’m still going to hire and pay for everything, but damn. make it difficult for people to get a divorce, why don’t you?

kit: yeah i think its to discourage ppl from getting divorced bc of on again off again couples but it still is a nightmare

august: is everything okay?

kit: uh not really

august: hey

the kiss surprised august, but he returned it happily and without missing a beat. “we don’t have to use the condoms. i don’t want to.” he placed the condoms and the lubricant on the bedside dresser, tugging his shirt over his head. “so we — we don’t have to.” august just wanted to enjoy this as much as he possibly could. he was surprised he’d managed to bring it up. he’d been thinking about it even before they came to hawaii. giving himself daily pep talks really paid off. shifting their positions, august laid down on his back and pulled kitley to hover over him. he brought his head up to kiss him, pulling at kitley’s shirt so he could get rid of it. 

august was nervous, but he was hoping that it wasn’t too obvious. if he showed some kind of confidence, then it may just run off on kitley, and then they’d have such an easy flow of things, and why wouldn’t they want that? “i um —” blushing a deeper red, august held kitley’s hand and walked him towards the bed. “i uh — didn’t do anything fancy like — flowers and stuff — i figured like — we could do that some other time but — i got .. other things.” august pushed kitley to sit on the bed lightly, walking over to the drawer to open it and grab the small bag he had inside. “i got … condoms and like —- i dunno — this is apparently one of the best lubricants you can buy so i got that one.” he shrugged, rubbing at his eyelids. he could see … well enough with his glasses, but sometimes it made him uncomfortable when he didn’t wear it. “i — i think that’s …. the important stuff, right? i mean — i don’t know if you wanted to use condoms because like — you’d be my first, you know? so i’m … i’m clean and everything and i dunno — i just —- wanted to be prepared.” he was probably a lot redder than normal now, and he pulled his bottom lip between his teeth.

“You didn’t need to do anything fancy, we’re literally in Hawaii,” Kitley giggled, walking with August. Looked like he would be staying in August’s room again tonight. Kitley sat down as he was directed to by his boyfriend, watching him pick up the bag and. “Oh, I-- yeah, that’s-- the important stuff,” Kitley said, knowing he must be flushed red but he didn’t care since August was blushing too. Kitley may have been slightly experienced, but this would still be his first time too. “I-- I’m ‘clean’ too, but I-- I mean if you’re more comfortable using it just in case, I don’t mind, I just want you to be comfortable.” He said, reaching out to grab August and pull him down next to him. Kitley’s hand lifted to rest on the other boy’s cheek, and he leaned closer to kiss him. 

The trip was the perfect place for Will. They could get away from the the things making them stressed and keep going. Posting was easy, meetings weren’t a bother- it was such a nice time. It didn’t hurt that Harley was his roomie either. They only really took advantage of it once, but it was still a nice roll in the hay. It didn’t really bother them they didn’t meet their third roommate,  they assumed it was probably just someone straight who was off with a girl.

Will really never thought about it until they came back from a run, shirtless, sweating, tired, and ready to shower when.. “Oh- Hey.” They pant, a clearly shocked expression taking over their face as they pull earbuds from their ears by the cords. Their eyes of course dropping over Kitley’s figure quick before returning to the others eyes. The up down was probably too obvious but they couldn’t help it. “..Nice to see you?”

The last person Kitley was expecting to see was Will, but there he was, right in the doorway. Kitley slowly let his hand fall from the door handle, and he caught Will’s once over. He still felt water droplets dripping down his back as he gripped his towel firmly around his waist. “Um--” He swallowed a lump in his throat. “--Didn’t realize you were the third roommate,” 

He couldn’t really do anything else other than stand there, trying not to look at his ex’s sweaty torso. “How’s the trip been for you so far...?” 

“yes.” august chuckled softly, taking his glasses from his face. “i mean — now … later tonight … if you’re ready, that is. i know that i am. i’ve thought about it — a lot.” august blushed, and he leaned forward to kiss kitley’s forehead. “is that — okay? with you, i mean. i don’t want to rush you into anything and i want you to be sure. so if you need to think about it then that’s okay too. i can wait for you to think about it, and you tell me what you decide?” august was … a little eager but he’d wait for kitley to think about it, and if kitley wasn’t ready he’d be okay with that too. they had no reason to rush things. “i trust you, okay?” august kissed the corner of his lips again.

August looked cute in his glasses, but Kitley loved when he took them off too since it was easier to see his eyes. And Kitley really loved his eyes. “I-- no, no! Of course its okay, I would-- uhm,” He paused, “I would love to, I just-- I wasn’t expecting you to-- a-ask me that,” He blushed, turning his head so he could catch a full kiss to August’s lips. “I don’t need to think about it. I want to,”

august had been nervous all day. he’d been thinking of a way to ask kitley what he’d been thinking about for a while now, and after he and kitley has such a nice evening having dinner together, he thought that now was the perfect time to bring it up. he took a deep breath, drying his hands in the kitchen towel after he and kitley had finished washing up. “kitley, i um–” he cleared his throat quietly, took a deep breath and said the next few words in a rush and without missing a beat. “so i was thinking about this for a really long time now and i thought that since we are in such a really pretty place and in this really nice room and everything i thought that maybe i could ask you to like um — i was thinking that maybe we could — that you could —- i want you to be my first.” he shifted on his feet, pulling his bottom lip between his teeth. 

Kitley was standing at the kitchen counter, putting things away when August’s voice echoed through his ears. He turned around, his arms slinking around the other boy’s waist while he waited for him to finally continue his sentence-- and when he did, Kitley couldn’t help but turn bright red. “Oh--” He started, taken a bit off guard. “August, I-- I--” He stammered, unsure of what to say-- though, obviously he wanted to. “Are you sure? Like-- like, right... now?” 

Analise looked around, distracted from her search for a chair to sunbathe in by the call of her voice. Her smile immediately brightened when she saw kit by the pool, “Oh em gee! Hey!” she calls back, waving before jogging lightly up to him, “How have you been! I’ve barely seen you.” she admonishes playfully, putting down her beach bag and removing her sandals. Maybe she’d go for a dip in a bit, it’s not like she’d put on any make up, anyway. “Have they been keeping you busy on this not-vacation?” 

Kitley was glad the girl noticed him calling, setting his sketch book down next to his thigh but far enough away from the edge of the pool. “I’m good! What about you?? And-- yeah, I’ve been really focusing on the work,” He admitted a little sheepishly. He had another phone call with his mom before the trip, and he wanted to bring home good enough news to at least keep her satiated for a few weeks. “So I guess they’ve been keeping me pretty busy,” He laughed.
