Because your love's a drag

Kitley had admittedly been spending way too much time in August’s room– he hadn’t even really slept in his own, rushing every morning from beside his boyfriend to get to his meetings. It was nice, though, but he figured he should at least utilize his own room a little bit. Plus August was extra busy with meetings right now, and Kitley decided he wanted to take a shower and have a nap.Come to think of it– after all these days, and he knew he was rooming with Harley, but had never run into the third person they were rooming with. Maybe he would today. After his shower, he wrapped a towel around himself, ready to head to his room and put clothes on. Though, when he opened the door, he froze where he stood– well, he knew who the third roommate was now.

The trip was the perfect place for Will. They could get away from the the things making them stressed and keep going. Posting was easy, meetings weren’t a bother- it was such a nice time. It didn’t hurt that Harley was his roomie either. They only really took advantage of it once, but it was still a nice roll in the hay. It didn’t really bother them they didn’t meet their third roommate,  they assumed it was probably just someone straight who was off with a girl.

Will really never thought about it until they came back from a run, shirtless, sweating, tired, and ready to shower when.. “Oh- Hey.” They pant, a clearly shocked expression taking over their face as they pull earbuds from their ears by the cords. Their eyes of course dropping over Kitley’s figure quick before returning to the others eyes. The up down was probably too obvious but they couldn’t help it. “..Nice to see you?”

Ezra took a break from all this team building bullshit to go take a swim at the beach. It helps him clear his mind and the noise of the waves washes out all the other hotel guests screaming and playing their music too loud. Their beach being private for the hotel at least keeps away the majority of the tourist crowds which he thanks the lord for as he makes his way back to the area he had set up for himself, just one beach chair rental and one umbrella which is why he stops short when he sees someone in his chair, “And what are you doing here? Don’t you have a meeting to be at?” he asks, reaching out for his rented towel to scrub at his still dripping hair.

“A meeting? For socials? Now?” Will asks while nearly choking on his mixed slush of a drink as he pulls the cup from his face. “Nah- it’s been done. Just thought you could use some company and what a way to ask by sitting in your shade.” The lanky one says while motioning to the umbrella. Plus- him, going to a meeting? In this weather? Oh honey no. He’d lie out of that so quick. “In all honesty I wanted to see who was here because I couldn’t tell who you were out there in the waves. I was ready to boot a tourist.”

Analise woke up early for her sunrise yoga class this morning kind of hating herself but after the class she was feeling much more awake. Today wasn’t going to be too busy so she was sure she could spend it at the pool and couldn’t wait to sunbathe after her shower. Tossing her hair up on top of her head she walked out to the pool area in one of the cute cover ups she got from a shoot last year. She wouldn’t mind some company if only to distract from the screaming children running around the pool unattended.

Will wasn’t one for sun tanning all that much, but considering where they were it just seemed like the right thing to do. The splashes from kids were worth it in some respect, but company also made it bearable. “Hey!” They called out as their eyes opened to the gorgeous creature in the cover up not far away. Their hand reaching out to move their towel from the chair next to them. “Need a spot?” They called out while motioning to the now empty lounger. 

WHEN SHE DREAMED OF GOING TO HAWAII WHEN SHE WAS YOUNGER, she never thought this would be the reason why. teenager isla always thought she’d have a destination wedding and then honeymoon on the island, just like the cliche girl she always had been, but that had stayed a fantasy. so, as she stood in the lobby of the hawaiian branch of masters international, she tried not too look too excited. ❝ did you see the itinerary ? ❞ the blonde asked to the person standing closest to her, trying not to bounce on her feet. ❝ apparently we’re going to have a bonfire later today and, i have to say it, my s’mores are the best you’ll ever have.  ❞ the last few weeks had been hell for her, but it was easy to pretend life didn’t affect her too much when the salt air surrounded her.

Will’s eyes fell on the girl as she seemed to vibrate next to them. “I didn’t peak at it yet, no.” They admit with a little shrug. It was weird to be traveling at all for him, honestly, since it was normally for things with his dad instead of something nice like Masters. “Ooh- a bon fire, huh? .. Didn’t realize we came here to do backyard activities..” The taller one teased with a small laugh as they elbowed the other. “But- no- really, do you burn the ‘mallows?”

“hey,” win motioned for will to keep it down, lest the whole floor rush over to lay their hands on the poor kitten. thankfully, will had the sense to at least close the distance between them, sheltering her from any nosey co-workers. “i heard her outside, under one of those bushes. and yeah.. looks like she was just living out there.” win rubbed the gaga hoodie over her muddy little face, black fur hiding just how dirty the cat really was. “i think she’s just a few weeks old. do you know where i could get formula?” 

Will’s eye go wide for a moment and they mouth a ‘sorry’ in passing before looking to the little lump of fur again. “Aw.. poor thing.. “ They start up again, reaching to pet the little head softly after Win had wiped its face. “Yeah you should be able to ask a near by Vet or sometimes pet stores or shops have some. We gotta use our good friend Google.” And with that they pulled out their phone, searching what the kitten could have and where to get it near by. “Here.” The taller says while showing their screen to the other. “Lil break trip?”

“i have no idea what that is.” august said the words with some soft surprise. “is it bad that i don’t know what that is? is it anime? everyone’s hyped about anime these days. i mean, i don’t mean that in a bad way. do you know kitley? he’s supposed to be suggesting some really good anime for me. i look forward to it.” august nodded happily, thinking about kitley and getting to spend time with him. the little he had to drink made him so comfortable, that he spoke easily and without bother. he didn’t even notice what he had said. 

laughing softly, he nodded in agreement. “all right then. noted. phillip it is for the night.”

“Oh no, you’re fine- it was a True TV show. It’s on Netflix now if you’re ever curious.” Will giggles slightly at the other just being..lost for a moment. “It’s definitely not an anime- that’s a funny idea though. It’s mostly live action, informative comedy...” The taller sums up with a sure nod before hearing that name. Of course he knew Kitley, and with how excited this one seemed at just his name...He assumed the worst. 

Will’s stomach knotted in a warm uncomfy soup and he shook his head, trying to keep his train of thought going. “Oh yeah, I know him. He’s a great dude, and he’s got an amazing taste in anime for sure.” The smile on his face was genuine, but there was something misplaced behind it for a moment as well. “Sounds good, Peter.” The lanky man nods again before downing his flute and putting it on a passing tray, his eyes searching for more again. “Well uh- I- Would like to be way more drunk here Pete so I’ll let you find...friends and I’ll-- find drinks.” He gives a quick pat on the others shoulder with a nod with an accompanying “goodnight” before moving quick to grab two glasses and head tot he balcony.

“Do you wanna be a doll and buy me one? I locked my purse with my wallet in my office and I really dont wanna have to go back up to my floor and get it,” She explained, shaking the pink jacket a little. “I’ll let you borrow this sucker if you do,”

Will groaned, not realllllly wanting to-- until she offered the jacket. Then they really wanted to. “Oh.. Okay yeah, deal, let’s go- I gotchu.” The brunet nods excited and quick. “I’m wearing that to the club, we’re going Friday of course, and now you get mac and cheese just for you!” Their feet started onward towards the mac and cheese shop so they could walk and talk Paisley into her own bowl.

“..you know the intern from security? ..They messed it up on their donut run..” Will lied, not even knowing if their was an intern in security. 

her fur was slick from the rain, practically blending in with the shrubbery win had found her wedged under– she was just a tiny kitten, maybe a few weeks old. and she was mewing so pitifully that he hadn’t given it a second thought before he’d reached out and scooped her up, carrying her back into the office on his way back from his lunch break. she was so cold so he held her close to his stomach to try to warm her up. but his sweater was cream and from christopher kane’s latest line. it would be no match for her muddy paws. win ducked down a corner and approached the first person he saw with a spare sweater draped on their chair, dropping his voice but by no hiding his impatience, “hey, i’m fucking cold in here, do you think i could borrow your sweater? i can give it back tomorrow and everything.” it wasn’t technically a lie, this floor was perpetually cold (one of rolfe’s latest endeavors in increased productivity) and, he’d be sure to give it a thorough lint-rolling before returning it, and his own sweater was cashmere, and then there was the black puff nestled in his arms, giving off the most pathetic little mewl. “so, can i have it?” win repeated earnestly, insistent on getting the kitten warmed up.

“Hey what the???” Will started to get a bit upset for a moment before he realized who was taking his sweater and then he didn’t mind. “Oh- yeah- sure-” They started up a bit confused, trying to turn towards the other in their chair. “Though I mean I could offer my body heat, you know how that goe- IS THAT A CAT?” Will blurted out as they heard the cry, their flirty tone dropping in excitement as they clamored to close the space between them and Win. “Where’d you get this lil baby and why is it in my GaGa hoodie..? And..why is it so small? This thing needs formula like yesterday..”

“Oh, honey,” Paisley started, tossing some of her hair over her shoulder. “I am constantly feeding the gays a full meal every day of my life. I am the bisexual style icon.” She joked– well, mostly joked, half serious. She took the bite will held out for her gladly. “Mhm,” She nodded, swallowing the bite. “You’re damn right you will,”

Will used one hand to hold his bowl, his other hand giving snaps as he nodded to her for a moment. “Honestly- werk- there are no lies detected.” They ended while letting out a laugh, taking the bowl in both hands again after feeding the other her bite. “Anything for my bisexual style icon. But actually- we should get you your own bowl. Because I want mine..” 

“no one is going to be angry but lets be real, did you break the coffee machine?”

Will paused, their lips pursing as they checked over both shoulders, then looked back to the other. “No- but I think I know who did..”

august generally just never drove himself. after learning that his parents died in a car accident, he never even bothered to learn. he never even got a learner’s permit. he was fine with public transport. cabs, buses and trains were around and he wasn’t opposed to using them. “of course, of course. it’s always the safest way to go.”

he hated how easy it was for someone to get him to blush. he wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up a permanent red, blush color. “thank you. i can’t remember if i introduced myself. i’m august.” he held out a hand, a smile on his face to go with his handshake. 

“If only the world didn’t evolve around Ford and his weird moving machines. You ever see that ‘Adam Ruins Everything’ episode on driving?” They ask, actually a bit excited. “-really makes you think what kinda towns we could’ve had if we just stopped loving cars and started focusing on ..well people and how they get around.” A weird topic to slightly rave and rant about while starting to get tipsy, but a fun one nonetheless for Will. 

With that, Will took the other’s hand, shaking it gently to return it back. “No, but that’s alright. It’s lovely to meet you, August. I’m Will. Though I must say, I was prepared to keep referring to each other as Philip and Peter all night just for fun.”

Paisley noticed Will eyeing her jacket, she’d know that look anywhere. “Oh, you like this?” She asked, petting the faux fur a bit. “I got it at Avalon, the second hand exchange store downtown. They sometimes have the cutest, cheapest shit I swear,” She explained happily. She paused, looking at the mac and cheese. “—Can I have a bite, for real?”

Will nodded as the other pet their furry jacket. “Avalon..” They repeat softly, still amazed. “I can’t believe I don’t have one to wear with a mesh crop top so that the gays can say I fed them a full meal..”  Of course they were kidding, but the observation still held. “But honestly- if I can’t find one in purple I’m going to need to make one.” When the other paused, Will let out a laugh, giving a few nods to the bowl. “Here-” They stopped, stabbing a few noodles with chicken and bacon on the fork to hold the bite up to the other. “-yeah for real, I’ll even feed you like a baby. I don’t care.”

“i’m a lightweight — i guess.” he giggled. “i’ll be fine, though. k– my friend’s probably going to be my ride home. i don’t drive, anyway.” shrugging, august shifted and looked around the room. will was knew at master’s, right? maybe he wouldn’t guess that august meant kitley. 

“fitting?” august blushed. “what makes you say that?”

“That’s adorable.” Will comments in passing as the other giggled about being a lightweight. Part of them missed that sometimes. It saved you money and made drinking fun again. “Oh that’s good. Glad you’ve got a DD. Safety first!” They cheered softly, raising their flute for a brief moment before taking a small sip. Of course they wanted to comment on the stutter, but chalked it up to be a hiccup....instead of what it started to sound like.  They’d of course take a cute boy slightly tipsy hiccuping over the latter, so they leaned into the blush reaction they’d gotten from the other. “Oh you know, you’re cute and so is Peter. You look good in green..” Will trailed off, taking a sip of his flute again, deciding not to say the other seemed a bit innocent as well.

WILL: well there's only 4 glasses in a bottle so not too bad?

Paisley walked into masters every day like it was her first day– she was more than excited to be working here as a fashion intern, hoping to one day work as a designer. And considering the amount of shit she had to go through to get her intern position. Except, today had been especially draining. She was more than happy to receive her lunch break, shrugging her pink fur jacket over her shoulder and entering the lunch room provided. “Hey, oo-” She called out, stopping someone. “That shit smells so good, where did you get that?” She asked, pointing at their lunch. 

Before she even spoke to them, Will noticed the amazing pink fur. Their eyes grew wide, amazed at the jacket, and that such a pretty human was walking towards them. “Oh- uh-” They trip over their words for a moment. “There’s a mac and cheese place around the corner that does custom bowls. I just had to heat mine up a bit, but it’s got chicken and bacon in it.” They pause for a moment” “....You want a bite? Or I’ll walk with you to get your own- i mean-”
