A lovely shit post of all my random thoughts and headcanon related to pokemon because im a child
-Selling pokemon is illegal pretty much internationally, similar logic to why zoos generally do not sell animals this is too discourage inhumane pokemon trafficking, plus from my knowledge it seems in the games you've always only been able to trade/catch pokemon.
-pokemon anarchism, ok hear me out, in the Pokemon universe people seem to be alot less divided based on nationality, when someone's nationality does come up its always based on region, which sure could just be the replacement word for country in Pokemon but i like to think that in Pokemon there are almost no overarching forms of government instead regions are managed by collective communities, i mean we've never in my memory seen a pokemon president so this seems likely.
-Im undecided on the existence of things like guns in Pokemon, it does seem a little unnecessary given the fact that things like literal dragons exist but at the same time i can see the appeal in having weapon that doesn't require food and very little maintenance, maybe they exist very rarely or in certain illegal classes. As for things like cars im very certain those don't exist theres plenty of transport pokemon and there are no pavement roads for cars or similar vehicles. The only thing i think is canon are subways and trains which makes sense for mass transport.
