one last thing I wanted to talk about was johnny and abbot's relationship and resolution.

I loved that episode where johnny was invited by the chef lady who actually treated him with respect especially to abbot's face. Such a sweetheart! I loved how empathetic she was throughout the show and especially to the hybrids, who she didn't understand yet still put in the effort to learn more about them and advocate for them to her husband that was going off the rails.

Honestly the resolution to her story was fair and I'm happy for her. She made the right decision. It's sad but not tragic. I would consider it tragic if she stuck by her husband that couldn't let the experimentation go and killed 2 children while fully knowing at least one of them was unnecessary and broke his promise to Gus.

I'm sympathetic towards him and maybe he'll get a redemption in season 3, he's still got hope to get back to his senses.

Now back to johnny and abbot's relationship.

My God, the final episode. The scene featuring the final interaction between about and johnny. It was powerful, I was so happy for johnny to finally stand up to abbot, and I'm glad that the last men, after witnessing for themselves how abbot shot his brother after he turned his back. Like damn, the hesitation in their eyes.

Like, Johnny was his brother, the whole point of their relationship that no matter what bio bros stick together, and the moment johnny turns on him and points out, rightfully so, that what their doing, killing children, isn't right, he shoots him in the back and rants about life being about winning not doing the right thing.

That moment when he shoots his brother, my jaw was on the floor for 3 minutes straight. How easy it was to sell out his brother the moment he refuses to go along with him, and abbot emptied out Johnny's gun, cuz God forbid he turns on him or wants to join battle, what then?

I mean I thought he was a narcissist with standards but I guess abbot really is a more sinister and less fun version of that villain in sonic the hedgehog. He's just evil.

There's a delightful detail I noticed when I was watching the episodes and that's that the leader of air lords was the same lady that provided birdie with a helicopter to go to Alaska and it made me giddy like I love how all the threads tie together even in the most subtle ways that don't necessarily matter to the greater plot.

Along those lines, when birdie said I'll come find you, at some point I thought that she meant it to gus not Richard fox but turns out I was wrong she 100% meant it to Richard fox but I still like to think of it as her meaning it more to Gus than Richard cuz that way it's not inaccurate anymore considering what we have to look forward to in the third and final season.

second thing I wanted to talk about in the second season is the character development the butthole with the air lords got when he met bobby.

At first he was talking about the hybrids like they were freaks in ways that triggered jepp and Aimee's feelings and it hurt my feelings too.

Jepp even attacked him over it, and yeah the fight never got resolved in the typical movie way, which was a breath of fresh air. Instead, he gets redeemed by him meeting bobby, who is this hybrid that can dig underground and he asks him where the tanks were and bobby shows him.

He realizes how cool bobby is and that hey, maybe hybrids aren't so bad after all, and you realize that when later when he clears the way for the others to escape with the tank by blasting a way a car in their way, and when he comes out and brings bobby into the escape bus and tells jepp to take care of him or something. I don't remember exactly but that's probably it.

It felt accurate and satisfying rather than that typical apologizing that always feels movie like and unnatural.

i just finished watching sweet tooth season 2 and I really wanna talk about it!!

So in season 1 they ended the season on a cliffhanger where all the hybrids were kidnapped and now jepp and Aimee team up together to get back the kids and bear isn't with them.

It was an exciting way to end the first season and the first episode of season 2 delivered!

I knew it wasn't gonna be smooth sailing as Aimee was more outright nurturing while jepp still hid it away and also had complicated feelings and experiences with hybrids. I also knew his main focus was gus aka sweet tooth.

I knew all this yet I didn't expect he and Aimee would end up splitting up!! Honestly, I try not to think too much while I'm watching something cuz I just wanna enjoy what I'm watching instead of being too critical.

Honestly it makes sense. Some shows usually don't make it land naturally when they want characters to have a fight and split up but the way they did it with jepp and Aimee worked and made sense.
