Grabbed my tattoo ref pages for Alt and modified it to make one for Fen too. plus a bonus eye & scars haha.

Like Altrethir, Fen has possessed the chin markings since he was an infant. The family forehead crest came much later, Fen believing himself unworthy of it for quite a long time.

Fen had been training under a corrupt Jedi master during his Padawan days. His master had subjected him to a Dark Sided ritual--and upon interruption, the energy that was released found its way to Fen, killing his master in the process. Fen's eyes slowly began to turn gold. Veins around his chest and neck began to darken. And, over many years, he began growing more and more ill. The ritual was a poison. Fen would struggle to find a cure, if there even was one.

my interpretation of Darth Aloysius Kallig, my Inquisitor's papaw. here's a portrait i posted too, without the mask.

Grandpa Kallig would be twi'lek in my swtorverse. Originally i designed him with pink skin, but the more i played around with colors, the more i was really liking this Twilight-Princess-inspired look. The markings on the lekku were especially fun.

Giving him teal skin with dark tattoos also meant i needed to separate him distinctly enough from Altrethir. The tone of his skin leans toward green and more pigmented. Additionally, there is a dark gradient on the lekku. I also wanted to design Kallig's armor with a skeletal, Giger-esque look (that i'm hoping will be more apparent in an upcoming full-body piece.)

Some outfit inspiration comes from his look on the covers of Annihilation and the Lost Suns comic. I found it interesting and a bit amusing to see that he already had a fit reminiscent of Jedi robes. So I flew with that inspiration, and slapped some Jedi armor on and added some Shan Thigh-High Boots(tm).

I really considered having him dual-wielding lightsabers because. It just sounded cool as hell. But some lovely people on tumblr put the idea of one blaster & one saber in my head and that just sounded Correct haha. For the saber color--I went back and forth on purple and orange, but ultimately went with classic blue. That's subject to change ofc.

i'd like to eventually create a full reference sheet for him--including more looks from his acolyte days, pre-DS!Corruption.

For Nox's design, the idea for additional tattoos comes from Altrethir's desire to reclaim control over something once forced upon him. Something that he's turned into his own. These would have been added gradually over the Inquisitor's storyline, rather than all at once, as Altrethir is shaped further by Sith culture and trying to find his own place in Imperial society. In a sense, it's a coping mechanism; to change, perhaps conceal, the boy who was once scared and enslaved. To change is to grow stronger, and to put behind the person he once was.
