buuuut his favorites are the ones that aren’t strictly meant to be reused they’re “one and done” the ones he has to restick. fruit stickers item labels barcodes gold stars price tags anything he can get his nails under to pry off and stick somewhere else. sometimes these become permanent decorations with the other real stickers but usually he just sticks them Elsewhere . on the bottom of shoes on the back of issei’s shirt on the underside of desks and walls of bathroom stalls on the inside of hajime’s jacket hood on the legs of the volleyball carts and the handle of the broom in the closet on tooru’s backpack and in his hair on the cover of textbooks and all over blank notebook pages on video game controllers and doorframes and unsuspecting bystanders anywhere he can reach whatever happens to be closest and in need of stickering. it’s not usually done maliciously it’s more like he sees a sticker he peels it off he has it on his finger what now. if there’s nowhere to put it he sticks it on his leg to deal with later sometimes it’s hours before he remembers or sees it again he’s just walking around with a sticker leg no one pays any mind it’s one of the least unusual aspects of his appearance. yeah hanamaki takahiro and stickers !!!!!he’d wallpaper his room with them if given the chance

dad!atsumu who starts begging his agent to get him a cereal brand collab too because when he walks downstairs to enjoy family breakfast, the last thing he wanted to see was all his kids eating cereal that came from a box with tobio kageyama doing a jump serve on the front of it. he's so pouty about it, and he's like "guys, it's not even that good" only to remember that you do a majority of the grocery shopping, so you purposely stocked y'alls pantry with five boxes.
smth i noticed in a few scenes is that, when seemingly "cold" characters recieve physical affection, they have very different reactions. although sometimes it might not be quite as noticeable
like in this scene. they're both clearly kinda uncomfortable/tense with noya petting their heads, but their faces still reflect their own personalities.
tsukkishima just looks slightly annoyed, specially since he was trying to drink water when noya came up. clearly, he doesn't think much of it- its just simply a bit annoying.
meanwhile kageyama looks more surprised than bothered(?? he still doesn't seem to be too happy with the situation either, but it seems like he's also kinda confused. like it seems it's more unexpected for him than for tsukki.

I do this thing where I screenshot quite literally everything in this, which is both very useful and fun - and a bit creepy cause my screenshot gallery has like a thousand screenshots of volleyball dudes, but I'm having a hell of a good time for sure.
Mutuals, I headcanoned Sunarin as half-Cantonese, so he knows a bit of Cantonese. But his family knows Mandarin because a lot of Chinese people use Mandarin as a standard language when communicating with other Chinese people. Does Suna speak Mandarin?
It was only revealed to the Inarizaki volleyball team (they were the first to know) that Sunarin was half-Chinese and could speak some Cantonese and Mandarin. Yet he did not tell anyone where he came from, all everyone knows is that he came from mainland China.
Until they went on an expensive 3-day trip for a practice match with a Hong Kong school. Osamu was excited to try Chinese food, while Atsumu was fantasizing the things he see on C-dramas. Even though Suna had casually commented that Hong Kong in real life looks nothing like on TV. They were walking their luggages back to a motel in downtown, where they will access the school and its gym. On the way, a small, old man yelled and greeted Suna, hugging him, patting him on the back. From there Suna was rosy-cheeked, looking down at the ground, shyly fumbling strings of unconnected incoherent Chinese words out while the uncle stared at him menacingly. The twins behind him laughed. Everyone watched him trying to form complex Cantonese sentences with his beginner/intermediate language skills and giggled to each other.
"What was that?"
"My great second-auntie's husband on mom's dad's side. He asked me to address him properly and I couldn't find the words."
The team laughed. That moment of Suna's large confusing family ties became an inside joke of Inarizaki's vball team.
And they were lost, again, in this huge and zigzag road systems that is sure to confuse all tourists here, and Suna is tasked with asking a tourist since he knew the local language the best. The Miya twins suddenly hid behind him, pushing him towards a local person saying "ni hao."
"Dudes, they just said hi."
"Ask them where the motel is!"
"Fine."
That question was fairly easy to ask in Cantonese, or any language, really. So he went up to the person, asking him in fluent Cantonese and his low voice. He dished out some more lines, asking more questions that had the Miya twins, who were not in the conversation at all, swoon. He came back, and everyone was amazed because they thought he would be on the absolute beginning level "hi" "hello" and such. Osamu asked Suna to speak Mandarin to him, and Suna caved, speaking in a perfect yet short Mandarin sentence.
Suna was the star of the show for that brief night.

but it's not oikawa, it's tooru, the boy you met in high school who stumbled down the steps after using a cheesy pick-up line on you and whines when you try to leave his arms for the washroom, who's your husband.
"long day?"
tooru groans and buries himself deeper into the crook of your neck, arms wrapped snug around your middle. he didn't really need to answer—the lit street lights and dim sky outside were answer enough.
holding back a laugh, you comb your fingers through his hair, the familiar scent of jasmine and vanilla dancing its way to you. "proud of you, baby."
your husband's voice is quiet, "thank you."
"you want me to run a bath for you?"
"...maybe later?"
"m'kay. you wanna stay here for a while?"
"yeah." his fingers trace hearts across your back, and when he pouts, you feel it against your skin. "i'm so tired."
pouting too in response, you press a kiss to his head and rub his back. "i know, baby, at least you're home now."
"but then i have to leave you tomorrow."
"and then you come back to me again tomorrow."
"but then i leave again—oh my god, what kind of sick world do we live in?" he whines, letting out a noise that could be described as a choked sob.
and this time, you let yourself laugh. "aw, my poor tooru,"—you cradle his head against you —"the horrors of a job have caught you."
"what if we worked somewhere together?" he lifts his head to look at you.
you raise a brow. "i love you, you're the light of my life, but you are not getting me on that court."
he gapes. "betrayal from my own wife?"
"okay, then come to my job."
"...well—"
"betrayal from my own husband?" you gasp and tooru pouts again—though at this point you're not sure if the original pout ever left to begin with.
it's still just as endearing, and your expression softens. "you'll be fine, 'ru. i'll baby you as much as you want every time you come home."
his pout pulls even more at his lips, and you mirror it. bringing your hands up, you hold his face and squish his cheeks with your words— "i, tooru oikawa, love my wife and my job, and i'm a strong, independent guy who can do anything."
"d'you rilly hafta hol' m'face?"
"it's for the effect and affirmations," you tease, before your amusement softens to something else. "how long are you out tomorrow?"
tooru's jaw drops as much as it can with you holding him in place. "why would you—9 hours!"
and before the dread of leaving you can fully take hold, you kiss his forehead. the apple of his left cheek, the right, his brows then his eyes, his nose, both sides of his jaw, his lips—all with a resounding mwah!
tooru's arms cling tighter, and he leans into each kiss, always chasing your affection though he doesn't have to. you smile at the flush dappled across his face. "see? a kiss for each hour."
he opens his mouth to answer, but then the pout comes back. "each half hour at least. each 15 minutes—"
"tooru." you snort. "what is that, like, 36 kisses?"
"okay, a kiss for each minute."
"babe—"
"you know how hard i train, i know you watched my interview."
and you really don't think you'll make it to 100, much less 500 kisses, but you'll try anyway, even if after the first one, tooru says, "one."
you snicker as you place the next four, and he counts them before pointing out, "you know, kissing your husband is way easier than doing rdl's."
"yes, yes, i know, honey." you softly laugh and press another to the spot between his brows. "i'm not complaining."
he counts again—six, seven, eight, nine—and you remember the determination and patience of oikawa was never separate from tooru, especially not when it came to you.
domesticity with kageyama is when, before you’re married, before you’re even engaged, tobio will hold your hand under the dinner table, his thumb absentmindedly stroking your ring finger. it’s the way fans zoom in on his paparazzi photos, to catch a pixelated glimpse of his lockscreen; he’s a private person, but the lockscreen is definitely a selfie of the two of you. it’s the way he’s upset over court rules dictating he can’t have his wedding band on while he plays; he doesn’t like anything separating him from the feel of the ball, but his ring feels as if it’s always been a part of him. (it’s him looping the ring around the laces of his shoes, so he can always have you on the court with him). it’s having him be the designated Tall Guy; the person you look at and point to the top shelf of the cabinet or the highest shelf at the grocery store, and he’ll always be ready to grab the items for you. it’s you struggling to open the cap on a water bottle, and him always cracking open every water bottle before he leaves for an away game or big trip because he worries about you. it’s him always needing to have his toothbrush standing next to yours on the bathroom counter. it’s him being featured on a box of cereal, and you make a joke about how cute it would be to have a little kageyama enjoying breakfast promoted by his father; it’s the blush that creeps up on him as he can see it all perfectly in his head. it’s the way he can’t seem to sleep unless he’s holding you; even if you two don’t fall asleep cuddled up to each other, you can bet you’ll wake up in the middle of the night to find his arms wrapped around you, pressing your body against his.
