Even later at Zegnautus Keep, Gladio basically tells Ignis, "Just tell me what to do," and that's how they work—Ignis sensing things and telling Gladio where to go (I've actually gotten lost several times only to find that the right way is invisible on the map but it's where Ignis is hovering), instructing Gladio how to work the computers, making him find a kill switch somewhere because of course there is a kill switch Gladio it makes no sense otherwise. It's like Iggy's mind was mixed with Gladio's body to execute and boy, what a power combo.
