"You kept it," Binghe says, with what passes as his own voice. It's deep, and it makes Shen Yuan feel a little shaky. There must be some kind of an otherworldly quality to it.
"I, well, yes, of course."
It shouldn't be an "of course"! He'd found it on a dead creature! But it is a fine fan, free of blood and organ bits, well crafted out of quality materials.
