jin making his way beside his mentor, making sure to not wrongly step or perhaps even glare in a weird way at the mentor’s plants. despite having been here countless times, he could never help but feel watched and in danger, constantly. he looked up to his mentor, kimchi seonsangnim was the best at what he did, and he was the best for a very good reason. slight hesitance worked its way through his system as his gaze darted from one end to the other. the irrigation system was not an easy target, they have multiple pressure points where the water could be released at different velocities, not to mention the sheer numbers of them. his gaze returning back to the mentor, who was crouched down by the initial spigot.
❝ yes, seonsangnim. ❞
he nods, his features altering to one of pure concentration. he was unsure how to go about this, too much pressure and the irrigation system would release too much water, resulting in the obvious unhappiness of the plants ( drowning them would be the least of his worries ). taking a step back, his right hand lifting to face the spigot, slowly turning it, seeing as it triggered the irrigation system, his left immediately attempting to control them.
❝ i’m not sure what i should do from here, seonsangnim. ❞
The plants seemed to ebb and flow, almost like water around the young hero, and Kimchi always kind of chuckled at the way they seemed to tease the young man. He figured part of it was his own amusement at the way Jin seemed to be jumpy around the plants. However, the young man seemed to be interested in taking on this challenge. “Lets see how you do with redirecting the flow in certain areas... right now, all lines are open at the same basic amount. we’ll start small.” He gestured, his mind focusing on the plants as he felt their root systems soaking up the water that already flowed.
He nodded gently as they soaked, and looked up at Jin. “at the end of the system is near where my low hydration plants reside.” He gestured to the farthest area from where they were currently. “cut off the water flow at the very end... there should be a joint there in the pipe you’ll be able to sense... the rest can simply keep flowing, so just let that be.”
