I am a marine ecologist using geoinformatic tools to strengthen collaborative resource mapping, planning, management and monitoring applications in the Caribbean. I am passionate about using holistic ecosystem-based approaches to better understand the marine environment, communities and resource use patterns. I apply mixed methods to allow for appropriate stakeholder engagement, two-way learning and wide participation in the development of spatial information and environmental management. I offer a number of GIS, UAS and participatory mapping services, as well as provide a number of short training courses to build the capacity and use of GIS, UAS and information technology applications in the Caribbean. I possess over 15 years of interdisciplinary research and teaching experience ranging from marine habitat, resource and space-use mapping; monitoring and impact assessments; Participatory GIS; remote sensing and UAS ‘drone’ mapping applications, spatial modelling, geodatabase construction and advanced spatial analyses including Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) on a variety of projects in the Caribbean and globally. I am also a post-doctoral research associate and part-time lecturer at CERMES, UWI, Cave Hill Campus as well as the Principal of Marine and Spatial Information Solutions, Inc. with a thorough and successful project management and implementation record in the region and globally.
