went on a girlie weekend away to see sweeney todd in birmingham (ramin karimloo was sweeney iykyk) and my heart is so full rn. i have had a lot of problems maintaining friendships (a lot worse post-pandemmy but bad for ... my whole life) so going AWAY for someone that wants to be my pal is. a lot. i had so much fun i could cry. we had a nice dinner, theatre, drinks, hotel, breakfast, trains etc., everything went along so well. i wish friendships came to me easier and i had more friends but i suppose i am deeply unlikeable.

i had my blood tests today to investigate my Ailments and they took 5 vials of blood. my friend also had a blood test today (privately) and got her results back already 😭 i need to wait a week and i am bummed about that. but it could be worse cos my friend got diagnosed with hashimotos (i suspect this could be one of the causes of my Ailments 😭)

girlies who have had TV ultrasounds, please let me know your experience? is it like the pap smear and i need to have ibuprofen beforehand??

i have had painful and heavy periods all my life but they've been really bad lately, painful to the point i have to stay in bed for day 1 and sometimes day 2. i also have like a week of spotting before my period, insane pms, and loads of other non specific symptoms like finding it hard to lose weight, trouble sleeping, really bad anxiety atm. i cracked this cycle because i was absolutely dreading my period and realised how fucking weird it is to dread a period and saw my dr. she's prescribed me mefenamic acid and she wants to get me some blood tests and an ultrasound as well to rule out any nasties. it could be nothing, it could be my thyroid, it could be adenomyosis, it could be perimenopause (HAHAHA I'M 33 WTF). i wish i had asked sooner, she was so nice and so helpful!!! my blood test is next week and im waiting on the ultrasound referral to come through but the dr said the waitlist is around 1 month. the drugs helped so much with my period i wish i had asked when this started going downhill a couple years ago. i thought the worst your period had to offer was in your teens when your hormones are kicking off but it's been so so so bad since i turned 30. kinda hope it is the perimenopause lmao

i was having a shower after my swim at the lido and some lady was filming her (i assume!) kids in the shower and chatting to her friend about making tiktoks of their day out at the lido. why are people making tiktoks of their children anyway LET ALONE WHEN THEY ARE IN A COMMUNAL SHOWER. my mind truly boggles. millennials forget we had the joy of growing up without social media and our entire lives documented by our parents. i would be mortified if my parents had put photos of me on social media by the time high school came around. absolute pet peeve omg 🫪 social media should absolutely be banned for children and adults should not be allowed to do this kind of stuff either

i get a lot of targeted ads by fortnum and mason (because this is who i am as a person apparently) and fathers day stuff just popped up. when will it not be difficult :(
