Roni Raymond

 “Of course I did. I can’t have ma’ Donnie here eating all of this.” Roni shook her head. “Of course it does I made it” she smiled and kissed his cheek. Even though she was still hurt she couldn’t help but care for Donnie. “Now eat up so we can get ya’ out this stuffy room”

“Catboy? That’s a new one.” Sylvester had been called a plethora of names during his time in the burglary business, but never catboy. It had a nice ring to it although it was a little childish. “I don’t have your goods, Roni.”

“I believe that when I see it.” Roni crossed her arms, head tilting to the side. A glance at his feet and ice particles formed around his feet, freezing him to the ground. “Empty ya’ pockets pussycat”

“Who is your mother?” She questioned curiously.  She never really took peoples physical appearances into account when it came to naming parents, after all she could change her as well.

“Killer Frost.” Roni said confidently. She was no longer worried about what other thought of her villain parentage. She embraced it in fact. “My dad is DeathStorm”

“I had business to take care of back in Gotham.” He said watching the blonde. “I will be increasing the security after all of the attacks on the school. You will only get in trouble if you do something to break the law.”

“Now when ya’ say trouble...what exactly does that entail?” Roni asked as she went to sit on air. Ice then formed from the ground catching her easily.

Bruce recognized the blonde immediately, Roni Raymond also known as Killer storm.·“In any place security improvements can be made, Ms. Raymond. I am here to help implement those changes.”

“well look who finally showed up!” Roni said nodding, impressed. “Guess we are all really in trouble now”

“Just ‘cause someone says that somethin’ is safe doesn’t always mean it’s true. Pretty sure they got too comfortable or somethin’.”

“Yes, I kind of gathered that. I was fucking with you.” he said. “Oh of course, given another month or so, and it’ll be a full-on Ragnarok. These things tend to happen, you see.”

I’m aware. I’ve been here fa’ some time now”

“Fathers can be curious creatures, I’m surprised your mother didn’t talk him out of it.” L’yana questioned biting back a laugh.  “Oh thank you so much! I just got here and this map is kind of confusing.”

“She could care less what I was named as long as she got her hot bod back” Roni said then laughed as they walked. “Hot body....but she’s cold.”

“Definitely should, yes.” He hummed as she spoke about being raised by villains. He knew it shouldn’t, but it almost intrigued him to know how different it really was, if by a lot. Obvious things aside, of course. “My mother taught me that somewhere along the years, because in the end some people aren’t really worth the risk of betrayal… since, more often than not, you do not betray your own morals.” Thinking of his mother momentarily left a bittersweet aftertaste. He knew the growing rumors of her mental health, he knew what she been through, how could he not—but giving the girl an amused half-smile, Hiroto’s expression turned into one of perplexity. “You wanted to be there for the chaos?” Although only after asking did he remember, and strangely enough his voice held no malice (after all, she did nothing wrong, herself). “—Right, uh, raised by villains. You probably thrive in discord?”

“Of course. Chaos is tha’ only thing in this world that’s pure.” she explained. Her head tilted to the side as she examined him. “Ya’ don’t say that with tha’ same tone as tha’ others....ya’ know...tha’ one where you assume ya’ better than me and my kind”

“What did you get caught for?” Anya raised an eyebrow, carefully analysing the other.

“Oh kid’s play.” Roni shrugged with a smirk. 

“Don’t worry about it, please. This isn’t your fault.” Donovan said repeated. “Besides, you wouldn’t have been able to do anything if you were there Roni. There was knockout gas, everyone on the boat was out almost instantaneously.” 

Roni said nothing, but guilt still radiated off her. She just continued to lightly rub him, eyes watering as she looked at his wings. They didn’t look flyable..”my poor flame...” she said softly.

“you bet they did. and the word safest in subjective. not a lot of people are good at the heroing thing are they?”

i prefa’ bein on the oppisite side. I mean look at us have fun, go in jail , break out, have fun , go in jail, break out. If one of ours get’s kidnapped it’s no big deal. Tha’ world doesn’t stop”

“that’s what i said,” ward crossed his arms, rolling his eyes as he waited outside a classroom for a shield agent. he gave the blonde student a look, face pulled tight in a grimace. “i’m not here for a few weeks and it all goes to hell.” as coy as he was being currently, though— the man was enraged. his daughter, his drew, had been taken. damn his former employers. 

“Oh yes because you surely woulda’ saved them al” Roni said nodding in mock agreement.

“It was Jester’s twisted father who did this to me. It’s not at all your fault, Roni. Trust me.” He told her quietly. Sighing in relief at the heat on his chest. It did help to ease the pain, she was right about that. “Besides, you were locked up…”  

“Still had I not been so jea-” she stopped talking for a moment not wanting to use that specific word. “..reckless. I would have been here ta’ help protect you.” she answered him. She made no comment about the villian being Jester’s father. After all it wasn’t Jester.
