i'm never going to stop thinking about alastor telling vox that he's broken from the start. what an absolutely devastating read. nothing will ever be enough. vox has always been a seething mass of jealousy and ego and insecurity, and seventy years ago alastor carved a hole into him that ratcheted those things up to the nines to the point that he was willing to kill himself and everyone else just to finally, finally hurt alastor in a way that's on par with how deeply alastor wounded him. AND IT STILL. WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ENOUGH.
