I think that people should be more open to treating characters that they don’t know / from not well known media like you would an original character. There are so many muses from not well known media that people give up on due to lack of interest. I think that if you’re more open to learning about these characters you may even find a new rp partner and find out about a new thing that you end up liking. Sometimes not knowing everything about something can be the most fun part about writing with an unknown muse as you’re going in somewhat blind and so is your character.
Technically every canon character is an original character. If you view it as such your rp experience will be much more varied and open.

( I MEAN...YEAH KINDA?? Out of 52 episodes, Chester only shows up in like...two of them. And while the show does give some insight into his backstory, there’s still a lot just left to speculation, and the show also never bothered to finish his story arc properly, so I’ve just kinda had to rely on headcanons to fill in the blanks lmao. )
