I have a question on my mind about an upcoming psychiatrist appointment and I actually don’t know where to ask that.

I want to get tested for a specific personality disorder but I don’t know how to start the conversation. “Hey, I believe I might got xy and I wanna get tested for that” sounds just not right. In my experience, doctors take you less seriously if you tell them straight ahead about your suspected diagnosis.

Does anyone got tips how to tell them what you want without them taking you less serious?
