You go to your buzzfeed interview and you select, I don't know, that gay omega sex tweet, for instance, because you think it's funny. But what you don't know is that that tweet is not just about edgy gay sex. You're also blithely unaware of the fact that in 2002, jensen ackles did a show about genetically modified supersoldiers who go into heat. And then I think it was J2 rpf — wasn't it — that created the common omegaverse tropes? And then omegaverse quickly showed up in the collections of eight different fandoms. And then it filtered down through the novel writers, then trickled on down into some tragic 'casual corner' where you, no doubt, fished it out of some hashtag. However, that tweet represents millions of posts and countless fics, and it's sort of comical how you think that you've made a choice that exempts you from the omegaverse trend when, in fact, you're reading a tweet that was selected for you by the supernatural fandom… from a pile of 'stuff.'
