Caught these donkeys on the way to the hay ground, munching to the dry hay and having a great view to boot.

The road divides the residential areas and Sherbrooke forest, one of the few patches of native vegetation left in the urban fringes of Melbourne. Plants from the northern hemisphere were much preferred to natives as they reminded the planters of Europe and were much more dramatic over the seasons. Much has changed now, but their legacy remains. 

Cycling through on the outskirts of the city on a holiday to find this place tucked away from the world.

Six years ago this February, a series of bushfires consumed over 4,500 sq km across the state of Victoria, Australia. Today, these forests are regenerating from what the fires left behind. 

Women sell fish at the ‪‎Rynjah‬ neighborhood ‎market‬. Most fish are farmed. Some come as far from the coast of ‎Andhra Pradesh‬. But the most expensive are the locally caught river fish brought in from villages surrounding ‎Shillong‬.
