okok here's a thought experiment for you. imagine you're in college and you've got a class that you hate. it's super technical and the professor is strict and you don't even like the subject but your dad is making you take the course. and then the professor assigns a group project like you're in middle school or something. fine. whatever. you don't even know anyone in this class so you'll just partner up with whatever random straggler also doesn't know anyone. the project involves going on a trip to do some field work but the whole week before the trip your partner has been really unresponsive. annoying but you can give him the benefit of the doubt. she's probably super busy with other classes. so you have to end up doing all the planning and scheduling and packing for the trip. whatever. it's fine. you're used to doing all the work for group projects. and he'll pull his weight when you meet up to go. the time of the trip comes around and you get in the ship and pull out all the schedules and spreadsheets to go over while you're on the way. but you look over and she's playing on her rintendo switch. he wasn't doing other classwork the whole week, he was fucking around doing literally nothing!! and now she's doing it again!!! and not even quietly too, that might have been somewhat tolerable. but no!! he has to scream and cuss and rage at the game!!! you try to focus but eventually you get fed up and tell her to stop. he doesn't stop. even yelling at her, you can't tell if she's listening to you. so you go over and wrestle that stupid game from him and of course that's the one thing that gets his attention. she tries to take it back but you won't let her and then she fucking BITES you. hard enough to draw blood. because he wanted to play video games instead of doing literally anything to help with this stupid project. i'd start killing too
