Is every character in this game’s sole motivation “make Phoenix Wright as uncomfortable as possible while also obstructing justice at every possible turn”

The more flustered Phoenix gets during a trial, the more he makes these little "error" movements - starting to gesture like he would in the original games, before stopping and correcting himself. After he cuts in during 1-3, he's fully finishing the movements before he catches on and pulls away.
