I didn't have many ideas sorry </3.. I hope these suffice! Hc time too heheheeh since I see this as one of many ways nightmare constantly experiments with his semi liquid semi solid form I do feel like nm being in ball form is used for things more in motion like battle, punishment, torture, kidnapping, etc that coalign with getting what he wants. Whiiicchh is why I struggled with drawing more versions of the last ask? The mini comic where his beauty sleep was ruined, he took his anger out on killer just to showcase using this form as some kind of mech to pilot. I think he's very aware of his surroundings like a sort of Toph, so even if he looks vulnerable, he isn't! Other than being a recharge station, if he wanted to (def has) he could torture someone in there since it's like an inky abyss with a concentrated amount of negativity and malice. So much so that it can affect those he brings in... other than suffocating/drowning/burning them alive
