i actually used to not be a big fan of personality change in character tf (which is why it took me so long to get into character tf in the first place) but now its very much part of the core appeal to me. especially if it is unwilling...

It's fun to play around with the order of events. usually it's easiest to imagine the personality and the physical change happening at the same time but what if they were separate?

what if you were completely physically changed but you're still clinging on to the fact that you're still you deep down. people surely won't see you as whoever you've turned into if you don't put on the performance, right? and maybe that works, at first, but as you live in this form you just can't help it. the mannerisms slip in, you start speaking in ways you never have in your life. soon enough, people can't help but see you and the person you've turned into as one in the same. there's not much of a difference, anyways.

or maybe the personality change happens before the physical tf! god, it would be so hard to understand what's actually happening without it being spelled out to you. people would start to notice a difference in your behavior, maybe even comment on it, pull you aside and ask what's going on. what answer could you even give them? im just imagining going out with a large group of friends and being completely unable to control the way i act, and they all start to ask questions...

it could be fun if you eventually piece together what's happening even though it's already too late to do anything about it. you know that after this is done, a physical transformation is likely to follow. what's worse is you won't even want to stop it by that point, you'll just be happy to be comfortable in your own skin again.

ugh i love it. part of the whole appeal of character tf is imagining myself as something im very much not (which is why i fixated very hard on t3nna, he's very much the opposite of me in many ways) whether i want to be or not. so many fun personalities to play with! theatrical, stoic, happy-go-lucky... much to think about. ive mentioned before im a very reserved person so any change that makes me suddenly sociable would be very jarring lol

anyways i have no particular segueway into this but ive been meaning to bring this up on this blog for a while. i dont really know what it is about my brain that causes this but whenever i obsess over a particular character from a piece of media i temporarily adopt their mannerisms. especially if they have a very particular speech pattern or quirk, i will find myself having to actively rethink my sentences before i speak them to make them sound more like "me" and less like whatever character i like that week (especially overly formal/professional characters. ill have to dumb down my sentences to sound like a normal person lol). this will also sometimes manifest in physical mannerisms but i either don't notice or do those as much as the speech pattern thing.

that might be totally normal for a lot of people but i always think about it in a character tf way... what do you mean i have to fight not to act like my favorite character of the week, and if i dont people will Notice. what do you mean im apparently the sort of person who cant help but do that. thats hot idk how to explain it.

THE tf subject of all time (to me)

i feel like a lot of people were first exposed to tf art through google image searching their favorite mons at a young age... or maybe im just biased to think that bc that's what happened to me lol. either way it has a special place in my heart.

i dont actually have one specific mon i'd want to be tfed into above all else. of course there are the more popular choices which im fond of (ee/vee and it's evolutions, any dragon mons, the playable ones in smash, etc etc) but i also like some of the more obscure picks. i saw someone draw kl1nglang tf years ago and it kinda altered my brain chemistry. off the top of my head i cant think of one i absolutely wouldn't want to be tfed into, but im sure one exists out there.

also bonus points if the mon has a design that is pear-shaped/emphasizes the stomach, so that the tf sequence has vague wg elements. love that shit

overall very versatile choice with 1000+ different options, but is bogged down by the fact that i dont gravitate to one specific mon. if i got tfed into one permanently, id be happy but would probably be thinking about the other options i had for the rest of my life lol (<his greed sickens me). the ideal situation would be to get tfed into a variety of mons throughout my life. cant get too comfortable in one specific form.

2. pooltoy

pooltoys are a relatively new interest for me, so this may just be a form of recency bias. but still, they're a big fantasy of mine these days.

it satisfies the "turning into a cute colorful creature" itch while also having an extra aspect of strangeness and inhumanity. even among other anthropomorphic creatures, you'd probably still stand out as a pooltoy, for better or worse.

plus you can easily combine it with inflation which is fun! i also am just deeply curious what being made of vinyl would be like.

there's also something exciting/embarrassing about being a literal toy, being based off an object thats meant to float on the water, look cute, and be played with. idk its just such a unique state of being its fun.

bonus points for getting a permasmile. i really like the idea of having a big, cartoonish grin on my face all the time, especially since im the kind of person who doesn't like to smile when prompted.

1. robot/computer/some form of machinery

god i love robots. god i love buttons and dials and wires and chips and motherboards and circuits and batteries and motors and struts. i want that. i need that. im so envious of robot characters in media just in general. i need to be them.

id be happy with being a fairly human looking robot, human face and all, but id love to play with the scale of how many humanoid features i could take away before people stop registering me as a humanoid at all. maybe i could transfer my consciousness to a bunch of different robot bodies and experience what its like to exist in so many different states.

id also really like to just be turned into/have my consciousness put into a computer. a smaller personal computer is fun, and so is a big complex that basically makes up a whole building. id like to be a building tbh.

id love having a cute robotic voice after my tf as well... or communicate via scrolling text on one of my screens. very fun.

itd be nice to not having so many human vulnerabilities, but obviously being a robot has its own weakpoints. delicate insides, defective parts, viruses.. sure hope nothing happens oh nooo thatd be terrible

so yeah. the robot body is the ideal form for me. put me in a human-ish looking shell with swappable parts and the ability to transfer my consciousness and id be unstoppable.
